Also I was so pissed at the hospital scene.... Just out Rhodey as a skrull. They literally showed in the next scene all you have to do is shoot him in the leg, you don't have to kill him.
The hospital scene was insane. Fury is the only person with the president bringing him in. He's willing to stand in front of the door with a gun to protect him and not let Rhodes, in particular, to be able to talk to him or kill him. Then Rhodes shows up with one guy next to him, says footage is about to leak that he killed Maria Hill, and Fury just leaves and lets Rhodes have free access to the president. And that doesn't even mention that an alien no one on earth has ever seen before died protecting the president, and apparently Fury figured out a way while he was doing all that to get Talos' body so G'iah could bury him. Who is writing this trash?
I do like the idea of hiding a comic accurate costume for the finale in a remote Finnish mausoleum. That paid off for him.
if he shoots Rhodey even in the leg, the other agent is going to kill him before any sign of Rhodey being a Skrull.
Hell, all of those agent could be Skrulls who would just take Rhodes place if he killed him. That’s one of the frustrating things about this show week to week.
It’s why I question this stuff ever showing up in the mainline movies much more. Asking regular people to keep track of multiple timelines (and multiple versions of the same character) PLUS also anyone can be a skrull is probably too much to ask.
Isn't it pretty likely the body guard guy is also a Skrull? Fury calls him one in ep2 when they have their first meeting. Either way, I wish Cheadle had something better going on for him so he could have passed on doing this show since his character is awful in it.
this same theory should apply to olivia coleman she should've been shot dead when they saw her before panning to him transforming
I gave up on it. Will just read the thread and if it someone miraculously delivers anything of value I’ll go back. But chances of that are near zero.
I got behind a few episodes so kinda did. Not sure if it was better than you guys watching weekly but it still wasn’t good
So the whole series is just a setup for The Marvels. Everything that happened could have just been summarized in the first few minutes of the movie and it would have accomplished the same thing. By far my least favorite Marvel show
The ending of the last episode was a lot of trash. Pacing was so off and rushed I honestly don't think I know what the outcome was
Fuck this show. So many contradictions. Talos died saving the president that later declares war on his race and wants to exterminate them. "I can't call my friends in, this is personal I HAVE to do this myself" -- gets G'iah to do it for him Fury just leaves the Skrulls on Earth and leaves with his wife while the get killed? What the fuck his character arc? G'iah is just super OP with all the powers? this is absurd
This could have been a good show. Spy thrillers can be a lot of fun. This had elements of that but missed the mark entirely.
The last three episodes all basically being 30 minutes was weird. Did they realize the show was shit and just punt on the rest? Run out of $$ to do all the CGI necessary to tell more of a Skrull story? Or did they actually think they nailed this and thought this story was good? What a waste of an interesting idea.
Just so I have this correct, Fury's plan was to have G'iah go to Gravick, give him the Harvest, which he could use to turn himself into the most powerful person in the universe, and hope that G'iah would also be in the chamber thing to also become that powerful. And then the hope is that the super alien who has already made it clear to you that she's not afraid to kill humans to help her people uses her powers to kill the other super alien, and then you just leave her on earth and hope for the best. Did I miss something?
/hateshield I didn't think it was as bad as people ITT made it out to be, It wasn't great but it partially advances the storyline. Its Alien "Civil War"
Can someone give me a quick who’s dead, who’s alive, and who’s a skrull? I’ll probably watch the last three episodes eventually but not soon.
Introduces super skrulls, gives a new domestic conflict (like I referred to with civil war), character development of British lady and fury
Pretty much all the people who were being simmed by the Skrulls are still alive based on the finale. Maria Hill was not a Skrull and appears to be dead. G'iah is now a super Skrull and is still alive. Talos is dead.
I think with the awful reviews this show got, a lot of that development is going to be centered around whether they ever revisit the story. And I'm not sure they'll ever do that unless they really try to shoehorn G'iah into the larger story because of the actress they got to play her. In the end, I think this will end up being basically a waste of time and $$ because the stuff you're talking about will be retconned in some way or they'll just act like most of it didn't happen.
And they didn’t make Giah a super skrull, they made her a god damn super duper skrull. So now they have a character that has basically every power of every character that fought in Endgame. What in the hell do you do with that!? Such a bad storyline.
So that was pretty bad. So Fury was just banking on both of them being in the machine that gives them powers. The CGI was bad in the final fight. Giah is basically the most powerful person in the MCU now? How's that work?
