Barry's red was hilarious. Too amped about Sugar Bowl to sit and watch it all the way through. Great to get 3 after this past weekend's debacle.
I'm pretty sure she told some man u supporter to "get fucked" on twitter after city won 6-1. Not sure if I would choose her or Claire Rourke though.
I think I am back. Holidays were busy. Then got wrapped up in our coaching search and hire. I think that has finally died down. Couldnt find the net over the holidays. Attack was too static. 2nd straight year at Sunderland losing on the last kick of the match. Good bounce back against 'pool. Fuck Chris Foy. Kompany's card was upheld today so he misses both legs of the CC semis, @ Wigan, and vs the :jew:. Rumors going around that no Silva tomorrow in the first leg. Either a virus (most people are saying this) or ankle injury (Ladyman is reporting this). Transfer noise is all centered around the person that will not be named. He will be going to Milan; it is just a matter of the red or blue side. Also with Leslie taking over QPR; Bridge and Ned could be headed there to be joined by RSC in the summer.
So rumor is Man City is not only offering De Rossi 3 more million than Roma can offer, but also going after his daddy too.
Silva sends in a cross off a FK outside the box. Dzeko heads it in. City 1-0 against Wigan in the 22nd.
Probably a good bet. We are going to park the bus, but will make a mistake on the back line at about the 40 minute mark. Then we will have to press and City will destroy us.
I don't know a ton about this kind of thing, but is a draw today possible or is this some sort of playoff?
No, it's possible and sadly what Everton will be playing for even at home against a team that has really been our bitch at home the past few years. But they have drastically improved while we have remained stagnant, if not gotten worse.
lose again at Everton. something never change. Dzeko and Aguero have combined for 3 goals since the start of the year. Need to get them clicking again. Boring transfer window. Made around 4m and got a loan deal for Pizzaro from Roma for cover in the midfield.
I will preface this by saying that I've only followed soccer for about a year, haven't played since I was 10 and as such leave the tactical critiques to others, but it seems that since Yaya left for the third world, there's really been no connection between the attackers and the deep midfield. Barry and De Jong seem mostly content to pass it sideways and reverse the field and while Milner tries to move forward, he doesn't really have the vision or touch to create the chances Yaya does. It also seems like it has forced the fullbacks to try to run at defenders more whereas Yaya (and Silva usually) was much more effective playing the 1-2 pass and getting the FB's in open space.
Yeah the movement is just not there as it was at the start of the season. Mancini took the blame for tonight. Not really sure what else could have been done. I mean AJ comes on and does his usual disappearing act before trying hit a curler from outside the box. Aguero and Dzeko have 3 goals since the start of the year. Need get through the next 2 league games (Fulham and at Villa) before the Europa matches against Porto and get Yaya, Mario, and Kolo back. Gaknight what can you tell us about Pizarro? There is different opinions on City sites.
First off I have to say I was surprised when I heard this afternoon that Pizarro was headed to Man City. I was expecting to head to South America or a somewhere else in Italy but I guess he may fit into Mancini's style. Anyways...... For years he was a consistent starter in the former Roma system and he was a good player(Not DDR but definitely one of the better players). He was never seen as part of Luis Enrique's system and they tried to sell him in the summer. He would definitely fit more into Mancini's style but with the players at Man City I just dont see him getting many minutes. No back off of Daniele and Alberto De Rossi.
Going to be an interesting one today. It has started to snow in Manchester and they are expecting a couple of inches to fall.
Great win, total domination. The play difference home and away is starting to scare me when looking at the big picture. Only one trophy left on the line and it's the big one, but damn, going up against a ton of experience. Going to go gay cliche American soccer fan lingo, but hope the lads can pull through. Props to the fans in attendance for treating the Pizarro completed pass like it was a match winning strike in injury.
AJ's penalty was soft but after the luck we have had with refs recently I will take it. The ref gave it back later after a clear one on Silva was not called. Good to see Aguero and Dzeko score. AJ actually looked lively in parts. VK had a slight knee injury and was held out due to the weather conditions. Nasri has a minor strain and should be good to go next weekend. Looked like two of the under pitch heaters were not working in the first half. The second half was a mess.
yeah he is the most important man on the team right now and Roma with him this year has been light years better than when he hasn't been able to play. The horrible Roma back line needs him to save their ass all game long and the Luis Enrique Barca style system is perfect for his style of play. Now this summer they need to add defenders and Roma will challenge in Italy next year imo.
The De Rossi presser tomorrow should be interesting so we can hear the terms of the contract. If the contract includes a low buyout many fear he may still leave and was just signing so Roma didn't lose him on a free transfer.
it amazes me how premiership quality players don't make that back post run. I would have been licking my chops and doing everything I could to get to that back post there. what a move by aguero.
It helps that the only one team is attacking. Also did not realize that Tevez returned early........ Spoiler streaker
