Bday/Xmas present for 10-11 yr old Unnecessary preface: grew up with 386, then 486. When I was 10/11, I could have built a computer for fun. Now I'm totally lost. The morality question weighs heavily, but dude wants to play the game as a cop, loves the cars, etc. Gents, I'm so out of touch with gaming cpus. I'm not made of money. How can I make this happen?
Starter gaming cpus that are worthwhile, best bang for the buck, etc. Mama is rich, so if need be. Hate to so it but true
I bought this before the pandemic. I would have loved to have built my own but couldn't find components anywhere. 2 years later and its still trucking along just fine. https://storage-asset.msi.com/specSheet/us/desktop/Aegis RS 10TH-060US.pdf
Thanks, gents, truly. It's amazing to me how obsolete I've become. I'm confident I could screw the parts together but, honestly, the language is the impediment (requirement for sound, video, etc). Pcpartsxxxx or similar website I was told about: its an Orbitz/travelocity style website that compares component prices from places like Newegg and (others...so out of the loop). Ring a bell for anyone? Again, thanks
Yes sir, I built mine back in May and used PC Parts Picker and then went to Micro Center in person to buy everything. Whole build should be a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the early summer prices.
I used pcpartpicker. It’s nice, let’s you see reviews, what’s compatible together, and multiple places to purchase.
