I would say this week's theme is more about self acceptance than anything else. Ruby and Montrose's story lines really felt that way to me. Monstrose's feels a bit obvious but Ruby's read to me like she thought she could only have power if she were a white woman. Through that experience, found out that she didn't need that outer shell to become powerful.
It was really clunky how she was in the closet with the guy that was tied up and they cut away to a different scene and cut back to her and everything's normal. Probably my least favorite episode thus far but still really enjoying it. I want them to go back to the "sun-down town" parts of the country.
Agree this last episode tried too hard with the imagery/metaphorical meanings. Didn't really fit in with the earlier episodes
One episode behind but whoever played those demon girls the cop summoned deserves an award. That was creepy as fuck
I don't get creeped out watching shows and even I had the hair standing up on my neck. My wife hates scary stuff so I'm somewhat shocked she's kept watching. With those girls she just said "what. the. fuck" and walked out of the room.
Was this a mini series or multi season? I know they said this was the “season finale” but the previews for watchmen did the same
I know she's the hooded figure that Tic says hands him the book and pushes him back through the portal, but is she also the God figure that Hippolyta talks to in that episode?
Good social commentary but too far into magic/weirdness/craziness for me. Glad I watched it but prob wont watch s02
Pretty much where I'm at. I also felt like some of the overacting just got old. Not every scene is your Oscar moment. Also, too many times where they're in a life or death situation and they're having long conversations about deeply personal subjects while water is rising past their shoulders or a family member is about to die
I really liked a lot of things about the show but the finale just didn't do much for me. The creepy demon girls were excellent, the music selection overall was great. I think a lot of the over acting made the show feel cheesy at times.
After marinating on it. I liked the mystery and questions the show set up in the early episodes but the answers to those questions just didn’t land for me and just felt a little too goofy for me.
Towards the end the series felt hurried and the finale felt abrupt. Some really great episodes in there though, including the haunted house and the demon girls.
Show started off strong and I liked the premise, but wasn’t a fan of the last half of the season. would have watched season 2 to see where it went though
