First three episodes are out. Love & Death takes a close look at Candy Montgomery’s shift from a bright, devout Christian housewife to a merciless ax-murderer and the peculiar affair that started it all. Set in a close-knit, trusting Texas community full of carefree families and faithful churchgoers, it’s an idyllic picture–and the perfect cover for dangerous secrets and vicious jealousy left unchecked. With executive producers David E. Kelley and Nicole Kidman and stars Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons, the limited series promises sky-high pedigree, style with substance, and the complex, psychological nuance necessary for such an unbelievable true crime story.
There was another mini-series on this last year called Candy with Jessica Biel on Hulu. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13729648/
I like this and find Olsen incredibly sexy in this role. I think it's due to it being set in late 70s early 80s when a young looks like University of Illinois hit puberty and started noticing moms
It was good until HBO made me have to have subtitles on episode 4. Up until that point it was good. Max is pretty shitty for a streaming service
lmao we fight this shit the whole episode I closed the app, turned tv off, yelled at it and turned it off again. Thought I was going crazy
Not if the program is in English. If it’s a film in another language I prefer subtitles over the dubbed version. Also not sure if it’s just our tv or what but the subtitle box on Max is really big in terms of the box and font.
All that said we are both enjoying the shit out of this show and it’s one that I anxiously wait for the next episode to drop.
I was today years old when I realize the attorney, Don Crowder, was portrayed by the same actor that played Ben on Ozark.
Was sick of this being a recommendation for me and decided to watch it. Really liked the acting, but there were too many episodes for my liking. I was pretty bored throughout.
