Have you guys been keeping up with the liverpool top 130 goals that they’ve been putting on Twitter? Unlike a lot of sports some of these goals from 50-60 years ago really hold up. They’re up to #30 as of today. Any guesses at the top 5? Think Gerrard may get 2 in top 5
Salah vs city just happened at like 31 or 32. Think Suarez vs Norwich where he took that long ball down and went around the keeper was his better one vs them. Maybe salah vs Spurs makes it.
They should put origi vs Everton as 1 just for the banter. also the most underrated goal for me is when Suarez scored against west brom with a header from outside the box
Cant wait to see where the UCL group stage matches fall in this. IIRC, they are set to be completed before the WC even starts.
"Prepared to wait" could just be a club negotiating tactic. They also could be planning on going to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-4 or use Elliott, Jones, and Carvalho a lot. Who knows
They won’t sign anyone else this summer. That said we’ve seen a couple of times now they will go big in January if they have to/the player they want is available.
People acknowledge Liverpool's success rate in the transfer market, but still like to bitch about the process they use to achieve it
Gonna miss Sadio, such a clutch player and such a wonderful human. It’s so weird to watch a team of club legends turn over. Gini, origi, Sadio, next summer Milner and salah most likely.
How he handled the process was professional and wish him well. At 30 years old, it is the perfect time for him to move on. I love how we are managing these things and imagine the relationship Klopp has with his team is a good reason why Sadio gets what he wants, but on our terms. Still think we let him go for too little (was thinking in the 55-60 range), but him being happy and getting something for him is best case scenario I guess.
I know everyone is shitting on the midfield offseason, but I really believe Carvalho is going to get major minutes this upcoming season
i think if we shift to a 4-2-3-1 you’re going to see Keita and possibly Firmino in that 10 role. Carvalho is still only 19
The midfield next year seems fine, but they really have to resign Keita. Not sure how they could go into a summer trying to buy Bellingham, Salah’s replacement (assuming he doesn’t resign), and a second midfielder.
I’m not as cool with the MF next year.. You are relying on Thiago and 32 year old Hendo to stay healthy which ain’t happening. Then you gonna have to play fucking Milner.
Salah - Allison longball vs United 19 Gerrard vs Olympiakos 12 (way too low). top 10 is a vote. Of note Gerrard vs AC Milan, Gerrard vs West Ham (my vote), Origi vs Barcelona https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/vote-now-what-best-goal-liverpools-history threaded tweet
