Ok that is what I was asking. Like what oac asked: If a player is kept for the 2nd year and his previous year keeper round is higher (as in 1st is higher than 2nd) than his ADP, do we use that instead? Basically we would use whichever is higher: ADP or previous keeper round.

It makes the most sense, but I didn't see anything in here directly responding to that and Stinky's answer seems to not jive with that, so just want to make sure I (we) know which way it is.

My impression is that a second year keeper gets the previous year's ADP, regardless of circumstance.

For example, (and I'm making these numbers up) - if you kept Arod 2 years ago (as a 1st round pick), and want to keep him this year as well, he will count as his ADP from last year, even though it's lower than the original round in which he was drafted.

The inverse is true as well. If you kept Joey Votto 2 years ago as a 12th round pick, and want to keep him this year as well, he will count as his ADP from last year, and he would be a ~2nd round pick, even though it's much higher than the original round in which he was drafted.

Anybody can correct me if this is incorrect.

Ok that works. I have always done it the way oac recommended, but just wanted to know if that was ever discussed/decided past him posing the question.

Sup fellas, oac here. Sorry about my absence... complications resulting from betting on the UF/FSU game. w2d is now the commissioner of the league while I figure out the status of my original account. Last season, yahoo provided a partial transactions list which showed all the trades so from there, you could figure out which players were dropped and which players were traded. Don't know why they didn't do it this year.

On to business. I have an abundance of pitchers: Felix (3), Ublado (7), Josh Johnson (7), Jonathan Sanchez (12), Morrow (FA), Bumgarner (FA), and Ervin Santana (FA - I drafted him but then dropped him and picked him up later in the season). Pretty sure I'll be keeping Jay Bruce (8) and Pedro Alvarez (FA) but the rest of my offense is pretty pathetic.

As for submitting keeper picks, I was thinking they should be in at least 2 days before the draft. Thoughts?

Same. I think 2-3 days is good because really people should examine other teams already and have an idea of who people would keep, so they don't need a lot of time to analyze, but that you want enough time that if someone is busy a day or two they still have time to review final keepers and make adjustments to strategy if need be.

I think I'm going to have trouble making trades as I'm looking at 2011 ADPs since position players are so much higher than pitchers, but I'll send you something to get the dialog started.
