Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) I seriously feel like offensively, within the last week, Bautista and Holliday have contributed every point.
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) Didn't get hurt too badly with my week vacation...tried to set up everything for each day but missed out on some key starts
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) We now have two inactive teams: trofie and no tengo pineiro.
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) Batters are hurting. Wainwright and Santana are ready to take care of biz on the pitching side of things next year.
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) I want to hang on to sole possession of sixth place
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) Atl, your resurrection of that godawful team has been the most impressive performance so far (behind Ward's lapping of the field). Would've been more impressive had you traded me Brett Anderson when I wanted him earlier this year.
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) Thank god I looked and noticed that Cahill hasn't won against the Yankees and benched him. He went a whopping 2 innings and gave up 10 runs
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) And good lord talk about a good batting day currently with 5 games still going on. 24/41 .585 1.653 13 runs 4 homers 14 rbis
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) his lack of wins against them was the reason you benched him?
Re: oac001's Yahoo TMB 3rd Year Keeper League (updated 1st post) Part of the reason, also the fact that their career average against him was somewhere over .300 their OBP was over like .400 and gave up his fair share of earned runs It also made it a little easier considering at the time I projected over the IP limit by like 40 innings. I'm no expert and I rarely look at stats of my pitchers against certain teams but I just so happened to click on the little link that day and looked a little bit more into it after reading that he was winless against the yankees.
I'm starting Felix tomorrow but I fully expect the losing streak to continue. My real team sucks... but my fantasy team be alright.
really? I figure if a guy is good enough to be a starter that I want on my team, he's good enough to stay in the lineup against anyone
How many managers are we replacing in the league this year? It's frustrating when half the teams are inactive or aren't even trying or are rebuilding for the 2nd/3rd year in a row when we changed the draft specifically to help the shitty teams.
Trofie Wannestache hasn't checked in a month No Tengo Piniero has checked like once in a month, currently has no 2b starting, and is starting a SS who is on the DL.
i've been in china for the past 8 weeks. my internet time has been fairly limited. i'm still interested.
my offense is starting to show signs of life just as soon as my pitching is about to run out of innings edit, wow actually picked up six points Wednesday and cleared 80
don't believe in jinxes so if Ricky Romero and Tim Stauffer avoid surrendering a lot of runs here in the remaining games in progress...will probably be my best day of the season
up to 87.5 points (still in 5th though) after gaining 6.5 last night my wins and K's will fall soon though due to innings limits so hopefully offense keeps getting better
hahaha. I keep on forgetting to set my lineup. missed out on Ubaldo's 7.0-1-10-1.29-1.14 performance today. forgot to put Bruce and Butler back in the lineup on Tuesday and they both hit HRs. oh well. lost cause.
I'm pretty happy with third, if I can hold on to it. I had 48 points midway through May, and was mired in last place. Then I blew my team up, and they became respectable.
there's really no way for me to catch up. even if everything works out in my favor, the lowest I see w2d going is 126 and the highest I can go is 122. 2009 - 3rd 2010 - 4th 2011 - 2nd (looking that way at least) 2012 - 1st? yeah buddy.
I think McCutchen/Swisher/Bourn has been the OF that got my offense to a point where I wasn't like bottom three or four...with no innings left (fuck) I am not looking to have someone drive my OPS like he does
pretty sure my keepers are going to be Tex/Zobrist/McCutchen/Shields/Beltre/Moore not sure what Tex's ADP was though so we'll see about that
was really afraid I was going to finish seventh perfectly happy with fifth place especially considering I used all my innings about a month ago (letting Tim Stauffer keep pitching for me was so retarded) thanks to Mike Napoli and Mark Teixeira for providing my team with some much needed power down the stretch
good season guys. looks like most everyone played it out through the end, hope to see most all of you returning next season.
congrats ward! i'll save all the league data to a spreadsheet sometime this week. and hopefully i wont fuck up on my keeper picks next year like I did this year.
Alright alright..someone remind me of the keeper rules again. Here's what I remember (and some of this is assuredly incorrect) 1. Any keeper that you kept the year before is kept at last years ADP 2. Any keeper that you drafted last year is kept as whatever round you drafted them in last season 3. Any player you traded for (not sure about this? What if two teams just traded their keepers so they could skirt the system?) or picked up off of waivers is assigned a round at the end of your draft === Also, do we go back to the snake draft or do the welfare draft again to try and help the bad teams. My thought here was that some of them were bad because they were building for the future...not a huge fan of giving them a bonus again. === Who isn't playing this year?
1. Yep 2. Yep 3. I think the same rules should apply regardless of whether you kept a player or another owner kept the player and the traded him. Of your player was a keeper last season, his value is the adp. I think we should keep the non snake draft.
