Doing a rewatch of this one season HBO show from 2007. Created by David Milch the year after Deadwood ended. Some great character acting in this especially from Rebecca De Mornay, Ed O’Neal, Dayton Callie, Jim Beaver, Paul Ben-Victor and Garrett Dillahunt. It was too weird for HBO to pick up a second season but it holds up better today especially if you have an affinity for surfing culture and the supernatural.
It replaced sopranos in the schedule, isn’t that right? I just remember being so excited for It and It just being too weird
Not sure if it was directly after Sopranos ended but HBO always had two quality shows lined up on a Sunday night at that time. The show is very weird. Maybe the weirdest show that was on HBO but it wrapped up decently in the final episode.
