Guys. If Raiola didn’t wanna go to Georgia to wait, what makes you think we were gonna get McCord and Raiola. IMO, the second Raiola showed interest again he’s #1 and McCord is #2. We fine.
Does UGA also only have 1 QB with 1 year of eligibility? Cause that’s all we HAD, now we have nothing. Their QB room and ours is in no way comparable.
McCord left OSU because he didn't want to fight for PT with a freshman, it would make sense that he doesn't want to do the same at DONU (with the circus around DR as well) so this is not surprising news. Now we either need to fight like hell to keep Kaelin or find another transfer QB who isn't hell bent on absolutely starting next year. it's very hard to have a quality depth chart of QB in this day and age. McCord would have been perfect but i was always skeptical he'd be OK with Raiola coming in.
I thought OSU was planning to recruit a portal QB over the top of him. Not exactly pushing McCord out the door, but nudging him that way. What’s the story #Ohio State Buckeyes
Most of the portal stuff is just rumors at this point, but it does seem like a route Day is open to pursuing. Seems like we're waiting to see how the QBs look in the bowl game before committing to chasing someone. I think with McCord, Day told him he was going to have to compete for the job and McCord (+ his helicopter dad) wanted a situation where he would be guaranteed to start
Day said Kyle would have to compete for the starting role next year and he (his dad) wanted a guarantee and money that a starting OSU QB would command and Day said no.
Even with McCord apparently out now, I’m still skeptical Raiola is actually N. This is just all so dumb and I hate it.
I have no doubt in Raiola. I’m pretty upset that McCord isn’t coming but if it’s true he is demanding a starting job he can go fuck himself on principle. I think he’d likely win the job, but not expecting even a competition is so dumb
i fucking want you guys to get a stud qb so bad. you are my second favorite team my dad and i watched you dominate when i was growing up as a youngster which is where i started loving college football more than anything and i need NEB to start rocking motherfuckers into the dirt again. think rhule can do it the defense will always be really solid with him. absolutely hate satterfield but a high end qb solves a lot of issues with playcalling and game management
Proabably for the best. The first time McCord threw a pick or had a bad game the fanbase would be shouting for Raiola. Time to get the Raiola era started a year early!
That response from the fans is definitely what would have happened. I think I see just a little twinkle of optimism coming from you! Has someone been watching the Grinch, and letting the Christmas season play with your heart!!?
We’ve watched a tight end play quarterback because the starter gave the ball to the other team on half his snaps. Horrific!
Wtf happened? I was loving y'all getting McCorN, have no idea if he is good, but w a name like that. It has to be Husks
Pure speculation. Neither him or Raiola want to compete so we’re going with Raiola and if it’s not him, boy.
Wait, people are seeing that video of Casey Thompson in Lincoln and running with it? That’d be his 3rd transfer in 3 years lol
I'll be the first asshole to say I don't like Raiola and I think this is all a huge fucking mistake. Vibes. It's vibes I'm citing.
Raiola's arm is unbelievable but he seems like one of these kids I see in clinic everyday who's sheltered and socially atrophic AF like some bizarro 2023 version of Nell that just says shit like "chicka-payyyy" without breaking gaze from their Nintendo DS whenever you ask them a simple question.
Seems like we traded a really sensible plan for an absolutely wild one. And why? Defense is awesome, OL is coming along, there's some real shit to build on why sell it all for a weird child and his dickhole dad?
Obviously getting a 5 star QB is good because we suck ass but I’m a little nervous of potentially putting all our eggs in that basket. The dude could be an all-time great but it’s still a tall task to ask a true freshman to get his feet wet while passing to whatever you want to call our skill position guys.
Hey no one beats the Ratt Mhule drum like yours truly but this is a big fuckin mistake imo. Biggest thing I hate about it is it just makes no sense in the context of how Ratt runs this program.
The one thing where it does fit is investment in a young fella at qb with room to grow into the undisputed leader. Raiola has the most talent to do that but he’s also particularly flaky it seems so that investment is a sketchy proposition
East Stadium: For West Stadium: Heinrich! East Stadium:For West Stadium: Heinrich! East Stadium:For West Stadium: Heinrich! (During PATs, if he becomes the holder)
Absolutely loved the idea when it looked like he might not have to be the day 1 starter. Absolutely hate the idea like this.
Heard that. Probably pretty hard to juggle it all and not taking the top qb and #1/2 player in the class who’s also a legacy who falls into your lap at the last second would be nearly impossible.
Whatever option there was/is none of them are perfect because we have been a dumpster fire for a long time. But, at this point you seem to have competent coaches and you could potentially land the biggest name in program history who is going to attract a lot of fucking eyes on the program. We have tried every route but this one at this point. What do we have to lose? A school like Nebraska can’t turn down a talent like Raiola.
