Loved it.

 

I was hoping for a much worse fate for Carrie (death, jail, etc.) but I liked the ending. The season was really good too, probably my second favorite after S1.

 

Did not see the ending coming and really enjoyed it.

 

I thought they kept Carrie and Saul true to their character and motivations. It was a proper ending.

 

I had very low expectations so I was pleasantly surprised. I was about to have a huge bone to pick until Saul read the note. Carrie never gave a fuck about the collateral damage hoisted upon innocent citizens of foreign lands. I thought her all the sudden growing a conscious was terrible. It was all to build her cover to embed w the Russians. Good job show writers.

 

I agree. The look on Saul's face during the final scene basically sums up the whole series.

 

The Russkie could do better than Carrie.

The Russians would never let Carrie infiltrate like that.

 

I mean, she wrote a whole book on why she turned on her country. Plus, she was the most persuasive character on the show. She fucked Saul over, just so she could get in with the Russians. Saul recruited the Russian lady, so it's not that far fetched. I thought it was good. But it's a series that has already jumped the shark.

 

Yes, compared to some of the things we have been asked to accept in this show, this was easy to believe. In fact after watching our government the past few years, a lot of the stuff that wasn’t easy to believe is much more believable too.

 

Carrie deserved to die before season 2, she completely killed the show for me. What a stupid character all around, made no sense from the beginning. She was hired as a special agent while completely unstable?

I am sorry if you enjoyed that show, what a stupid piece of shit of a show.

 

she fucked Saul over because it was the only way to stop the war with Pakistan. She always keeps the bigger picture in mind. Saul does not and was true to his asset regardless of whether a nuclear war erupted. Carrie infiltrated the Russians because she had to make up for the fact that she killed Saul's asset and he/the US would have otherwise lost their best intelligence on Russia. It was the ultimate sacrifice.

 

Just finished second season. Hoping the Saul becomes a better character going forward, kind of been a wet blanket along with Brody’s daughter. Hated her girl gets run over storyline.

 

Yevgeny should have put one in Carrie’s brain after she gave up the asset.

 

Word of advice. Don’t catch up on this show.
