This is the best game I’ve played in a long while. I’ve been waiting for a game like this to come to console and it hasn’t disappointed. Really helps subside the depression from Battlefield being ruined.
I may have to give it another try. I played the beta and it was so laggy with very little people. I love the concept, just not a fan of older war games for some reason.
Launch has been 95% smooth and they just came out with a QoL update yesterday. I just love how the communication systems works and how it is the most vital aspect of the game. Make sure you find a squad that’s using mics and enjoy the immersion.
What system you on? I have a cousin and friend who will use mics/teamwork. we’re usually 1-3 on the leaderboards in insurgency.
Is it crossplay, or no? With BF2042 completely fucking up what made battlefield good, I need something to play since I don't have a PC good enough yet to run something like Halo yet. On PS5 if anyone plays it on there. I have it downloaded but don't think I've even watched any gameplay. I'm guessing it's real tactical?
Is there an Explain it to me like I'm 5 somewhere for this game? I bought it and just ran around randomly. The no Tutorial kinda sucks.
Biggest tip is to find people who are communicating. Lots of players are friendly and want this player base to grow, so they’ll gladly help you out. One big point is to spawn on out posts. OP’s are squad specific spawns that the squad leader sets. Garrisons can spawn the whole team.
It’s amazing. Made this thread 4 months ago and I’m still learning new things about the game. Console road map for ‘22 is already out, and we’ll be on the same release timeline as PC eventually.
Is this crossplay? I've got it downloaded on PS. Tried for a round by myself, but think it would be much more enjoyable with people to play with.
I just played it a bit today. Definitely enjoyed, will play again and agree it would be more fun with a team
i messed with my settings a bit. Increased my FPS a touch. Running smoother. Wish they could improve graphics and mobility. But other than that its a real impressive experience. It's scary as fuck listening to shells rip right over your head.
Anybody use a paddle controller? Been trying to mess around with my settings but can't seem to find a configuration that I like. Any recs would be great.
Night maps with flares is going to be wild. The games publisher, Team 17, recently bought the game and so far have said all the right things. Lots of speculation that HLL2 will happen now.
So I love this game. I wish movement was more fluid and the graphics were a touch better but overall it runs ok and it's definitely addictive. I don't think I'd stick around long enough to appreciate it if 2042 wasnt an embarrassment. But I'm glad I have a new home.
Pretty much my sentiments. Definitely could use a coat of paint, so to speak, and I do miss a more in depth leveling system but this game is great.
yeah i dont care about leveling. i want a more polished game that runs better. getting stuck on dumb things is nerve racking. id prefer quicker movement but add fatigue to slow it down.
Incompetent SL and Commanders is so frustrating. I can't command yet but when I'm sl I keep it simple. I'm hooked.
I like playing away from the frontline as SL. I’ll try to coordinate a supply drop behind enemy lines if possible. Always seems like you’ll find an enemy squad trying the same thing.
Won 5 games in a row with everyone doing their jobs. Last game we were on the door step to capping yet another shut out and the SLs just stop communicating. All I needed was another squad to help me defend Town Center while those idiots attacking reestablished a garrison at Pumping Station - Nope. Lost every Garry and Choked the game away. I don't remember being so angry at a video game lollol
Had a defensive round where we caught the enemies flank with a perfectly laid trench. It was 15 minutes of nonstop firing line action. I was on prox chat directing MG fire while firing panzerschrek rounds into random hedgerows. Everyone couldn’t help but giggle seeing those rockets flying toward the enemy.
https://truesteamachievements.com/a2289635/jack-of-all-trades-achievement less than a month in. I'm hooked on being an SL. Eventually ill call the shots. But for now im enjoying just developing a team to do certain tasks.
For medium and out ranges I usually let the target walk into the crosshair. You may know this already, but RB will zoom in a touch.
Got drunk last night. Couldn't sleep. Played the new Remagen map. So damn fun. Wish I had more time to play it.
