Gotta be the super early favorite to win, imo. I don’t like the chick with the pink hair. Seems like she just wants to be on the show and not really into the competition
Maggie should have been eliminated weeks ago. Her, Amanda and George are the bottom imo. Crystelle is fine AF
George with just an unreal awful performance in the showstopper where Amanda got eliminated. My lord.
I had to go back and edit the post above because somehow Amanda got eliminated and not him. I’m an episode or so behind. He has to go soon
Something to do with them Portuguese fellas who ruled Goa back in the day.. cultural influences and all.
Paul had glared at Lizzie too many times for just blowing off his attempts at guidance. That never ends well.
If it was based on strictly this week, she should have. But over the span of the season I think she has been clearly better than Lizzie
However close it was, I think the best 3 did make it into the finals.. they were strong creatively and took risks flavor-wise through the show.. Spoiler Jurgy went too safe with the final challenge and spent most time focusing on the structure, not enough on the actual bakes
Spoiler I figured they’d put Jurgen in for his overall body of work and winning the technical, but I’m glad they went with the 3 they did. I’ve been a Giuseppe fanboy from the start but would be thrilled for either of the other two
Spoiler entertaining episode! 3 handshakes in one round? Not super surprising they sent Juergen home. Love all 3, but i think Giuseppe takes it home
This is the first season in a long time where I will be totally happy with whoever wins. They all are great and deserving.
Just so y’all know it already aired and is on torrance. It comes on Tuesdays, not the Friday Netflix trash
Spoiler Thought Crystelle had it until she botched the focaccia. Good for Giuseppe; thought he was best overall baker this season. Also, him talking about his dad at the beginning was so sweet. Love this damn show.
Great finale and great season. Chigs was most impressive to me simply because he just decided to start baking around the time the pandemic started and now he’s on bake off. Insanity. I imagine being able to be sequestered with some of the best bakers in the country for 10 weeks is probably the best part about it. Heck being able to spend evenings eating/baking/learning sigh Giuseppe and Jurgen alone would have been magic.
Am I the only one thinking that Giuseppe was about as close to “not an amateur” as you can get in this show? Other than that one small gripe, completely deserved - especially after the panna cotta.
While he was consistent all season, I feel the judges didn’t really consider the technical challenge as part of the decision making. Also, IMO, it was Crystelle losing the crown with her Focaccia. But often, it’s the mistakes that count more than other stuff being top notch when it comes to fine margins. this season was certainly one for the books though - not many seasons where they’ve has such an evenly matched group of contestants in the finale. And likeable ones at that.
Loved every episode. I would like to see them move to a 2-3 week shoot with 2 days on, 1 day off between each episode and keep everyone there. It just seems to work better in quarantine.
I honestly think they need the time to practice some of those bakes. I was talking to my wife who does a decent amount of baking and the fact they’re coming up with these crazy showstoppers week in and week out is wild. These are amateurs and the timing restraints of the show probably requires significant tinkering in the practice tent.
