Came in second in the British Open pool, won 160....first place gets 700...I lost in a tie breaker... Snapped my 4 Iron shaft on a hazardous follow through friday...shot a 92 with 7 three putts... What's a good ratio of range to green time? Playing a par three course tomorrow...that's all the golf talk I got right now...
Love me the yellow/neon srixon's z-star tour yellow. As a high-school golfer I made fun of the shitty guys that played them. Then I realized as a color-blind person they are so damn much easier seeing. Now I rock them and not a fuck is given. Plus, not enough people use them so on a busy course you don't have to worry about some jackwagon stealing your ball because he is too damn lazy to check the markings.
being color-blind seems like a good reason to use them but seeing a professional under age 55 use a yellow ball on my tv screen is weird and different. I don't like change
You probably know this guy anyway. He's one of the better players in the area. He should've won the Metro at Canyon Ridge but lost in the playoff to Sport.
I tagged you in the open thread when somebody mentioned how close ZJ was taking his practice swings, I was watching that thinking "that's how user fish lines up to actually hit the ball"
So should I post a pic of my new TaylorMade irons when they come in? Is that how to behave in this thread?
gonna get a video or two of swings at the range this week. got some old vids from the swing-posting fest of 2012. gonna compare and see if there's anything neato
Oh I'll definitely be reporting on that, even though my failings on the course will still be 98% operator error.
I haven't looked into them much are the 1s the more game improvement version and the 2s more of a players iron/blade?
I think I would be embarrassed to admit that I took bowling serious enough to bowl a 200 much less a 300.
I don't know. I had a fitting session, so I trusted the guy doing the fitting to guide me to the right shaft/length/head (heh) combo. Like I said, this will be my first new set of irons since roughly 1999, so I won't be hard to please I imagine.
Sadly I fight a slice, my buddy did bounce a low rocket off the roof and to the middle of the fairway, though. Spoiler He still ended up with a 6. [\SPOILER]
Somehow I kept it to a 'power fade' on this hole. Just barely in the left rough of the first. I got cocky and somehow hit a duck hook into the village on 18, though. I'm just extremely athletic and can pull of extraordinary feats. I'm sure rain pants make it look more dramatic.
Guy plays more golf than anyone I know by far. Played at CF Saturday with him. Think he played Sunday too. Then he played Lookout yesterday and was playing The Honors today. He told me this morning he hasn't made a 5 in his last 3 rounds. He's a really good player.
That's all he does. I'm not sure how he fits work into his golfing schedule. And yes, he's a hell of a player. Probably the best putter I've ever played with
