Shout out to American for having the match on their inflight entertainment. Missed our second penalty bc they stopped streaming about 7 minutes before we hit the ground but that was a much needed win. Need more Iwobi and much more TC
Much needed win especially with Liverpool and Newcastle coming up, both on the road. Nice to see us get some goals and play well for large stretches without Palhinha. With BayouMafia on the Iwobi presence, but Cairney always leaves me worried with his lack of pace (even more so after his injury) and limited tracking back. Will concede he’s such a threat in the attacking third and provides wonderful service that we desperately need, so I may have to reassess as the season unfolds.

When that cauldron lights up at Anfield, understandable the ref doesn’t see everything but I thought it was a foul on Decordova-Reid live and the replay just reinforced it. All the Liverpool goals were bangers so I’m not going to wallow over this too long. Overall, much better from the team these last two matches. Looks like we can actually create and finish some chances, which is refreshing after the start made it seem like we’d have to struggle just to keep our heads above water.
I’m working in Costa Rica this week and I even signed up for a VPN account so I could watch on YouTubeTV on my iPad, but then I ended up in a meeting and missed the whole game. The recording should make an enjoyable watch after dinner tonight though
As someone who has seen Nottingham Forest’s last 180 minutes of Premier League play (I’m depraved), they’re in a very bad run right now. Fun to see us in total control for at least one match, good performances throughout the team.
yes all of the chatter the past few weeks is that it seems likely, but I never count any possibility out until it's signed on the dotted line
had he stayed we wouldn't have signed Pereira and he'd have been the #10 last year. How much he played this year would have depended on performance, but he did well in Marco's system so he'd almost certainly still be in the rotation at worst. But at this point we have Pereira/Iwobi/Cairney all able to play that position so there isn't room for him, especially the way Iwobi and Cairney have played recently. Plus there's the question of why we'd put effort into developing him for someone else since we wouldn't be measurably better with him or worse without him. You can't begrudge a kid for going to a much bigger club as long as they treat us respectfully along the way, but it's sad to see so many guys (Sessegnon as well) make that decision and end up in a situation where they don't get minutes at the point in their development when that's what they need the most. Even Harvey Elliot has played well for the most part when he gets on the pitch, but when the club is in the mix for championships in the PL and Europe you can't blame the manager for going with experienced guys over kids.
I’m helping at a toy drive all morning so we will see if I’m able to make it with no alerts and can obliviously watch this afternoon would normally be a likely loss but fingers crossed that we are catching them at just the right time with injuries and a bit of emotional/physical fatigue
between their turd manager, pickford, and tarkwoski they have one of the most unlikeable sides in a while

Been talked about a bit on the Fulhamish podcast. Apparently they talked with Stuttgart before the season but didn’t pull the trigger and then with the season he has had its thought that bigger clubs might be in for him, or that Stuttgart reworks his contract to up the release clause and/or agree to let him move in the summer
