hey so you guys should do the Dark Brotherhood quest line immediately because Spoiler Shadowmere is given to you, unkillable and pissed off as always. also do the bonuses in your contracts, you get a spell to summon Lucian Lachance to come fight for you also got Mehrunes Razor but fuck the end of that quest. that dick summons 2 Dremora Kynreeves with fireswords on you. I've got awesome weapons and armor and they still made me down multiple potions to survive. also dropped the key to Mehrunes Shrine. thought about it for a second but 'd my way out of there. I feel like I'm accomplishing so much but I haven't even done the 2nd main quest nor the lines for any other major guild or faction except the first Thieves Guild one as they're next on my list after the DB. probably do the main line soon so I can get my 8 Shouts into use. I'm sure my heavy grinding of this game will die down soon but even playing 7-12 hours a week it'll probably take me to Christmas to really feel like I've done about everything I can.
this game has everything, my cousin told me there's a certain black horse in the game with the same name of a horse in oblivion but i think he was trolling
The wife had a conference for work, so what if I put in 15.5 hours in the first 24 hours of having this game. Fuck you for judging me. Just made my way to the college of winterhold for training. Excited because my magic is still very basic.
Spoiler i guy should approach you in the market square asking you to steal a ring and plant it on someone. once thats done he will tell you to go to the ratways if you're looking for more work
Staffs do not level up skills right? Like if I have the Staff of Sparks, it isn't going to help me level up my destruction skill correct?
so after you get the note from the dark brotherhood what happens? i got the note but thats it so far and no one else has come to me
an inn will do fine. and when they give you the mission when you wake up, just kill any or all of them, don't bother talking to them.
Ok so I killed a fucking chicken and now every fucking person tries to kill me. I can't get anything done. The fuck do I do.
Sucks so bad. Happened to me. Had to reload a save prior to killing the chicken because literally every person wanted to kill me in the entire state. Just dumb.
I kinda like walking to new places, and discovering shit along the way. Have yet to use the carriage system. Got my smithing skill up to 100 by making iron daggers and shit repeatedly, and now I'm rolling with glass weapons improved to Legendary quality
Got it last night and played for like an hour and a half. Today during class, all I could think about was playing again
was wondering the same thing. maybe you have to get to a certain part in the thieves guild quest line?
Need that shit now. I'm not far in that quest line, but I'm almost done with the Dark Brotherhood. Got a huge bounty in solitude that needs to be taken care of
The shit you get for the first mission being complete for the Dark Brotherhood is crazy good. At least for something this early in the game and for an archer like myself.
Wore that set from like level 15-33 right when I got my Thieve's Guild stuff, which is slightly more balanced. when you max the sneak skill and buy certain perks it allows you to still be that kind of character and not require you to always wear that gear. I'm going to max my enchantment stat and get that 2 enchantments on 1 gear stat and see if I can enchant either the DB gear with the TG enchantments or vice versa to make one awesome set for a thief-type character.
worthwhile if you don't get the sneak perk that gives x15 for backstab and with any decent named dagger x15 is more than enough for a one-hit sneak kill.
Yeah and I've upgraded it to Legendary, and its already better than the original they gave you because it is from some quest where you find the remains of an ancient DB assassin
a whole bunch. way, way more the first few days of release but today was like 2-3. my ADD will slowly kill my desire to play it constantly and it'll just be something to rotate in. by next week it'll probably be an hour or so a day if at all. I did this with Oblivion when it dropped and I bet I didn't get halfway through the main quest line before I quit playing. went back months and months later and finally beat it. my ADD is a terrific life-saver for video games. eventually I get bored and either quit playing or just kick along less and less each day until I eventually beat it. it's the reason why I never got into WoW or any other MMORPG.
Is it worth using my perks for smithing worth it or can I just find enough good stuff along the way? Also, if I join the storm crows early does that cause problems later in the game?
i spent a lot of time playing friday and sunday, today I'll probably play for around 5 hours after only playing 2 yesterday
I got it Friday at 1pm. I played for, let's see: Friday: 1pm-2 AM = 13 hours Saturday: 10-11 AM, 3:30-7:30 =5 hours ( I had the Husker game and formal, but still got in gaming time) Sunday: 11 AM-1 AM = 14 hours, My roomates came into my room to see if I was OK because I'd be in my room so long. Monday: 10AM- Midnight =14 hours. I had set my alarm for 9:30 so I could go to class, got out of the shower, popped an adderol and, and loaded up Skyrim. I took one break, and it was around 6 at night to make a couple PB&J's,heat up some old hamburgers, and pee. That totals to 46 hours out of 83 hours. If it wasn't for formal and the football game, I would sound a lot more pathetic. Has anyone else noticed how they barely eat/drink/pee when they play this? I have a Culligan dispenser in my room, get thirsty, but decide it's a bad idea to get a drink because I might have to pee.
