Liquidpedia is great for results, but someone made a pro game analyzing Bot with info graphics that's pretty amazing on Twitter. @AutoDota is the account. It's pretty amazing actually.
Optic's org is crazy. The thread for the match against complexity on their subreddit was like 10x as active as the one on r/dota2 and half the viewers had never watched dota before. Sponsors like Chipotle/Brisk/Turtle Wax. Friberg (hall of fame type CS player) just joined their CS team and is doing vlogs and their teamhouse is a fucking mansion. Hell of a gig they scored so quickly. Hope it works out.
Also would put more pressure on them right? Like perform or get cut. Unless having a DotA team that doesn't win is profitable for the owner anyway.
That CoL/Optic rivalry is really back and forth. Good stuff. NA is fun right now. Also, why are the Koreans in NA? Ha
Gotta admit I digging these Optic nerds embracing DotA and ppds team like long lost family. They really support the team to the fullest. Seem to want to understand DotA and cheer on the boys. Also:
Their passion and willingness to watch a different esport is crazy. It's like if the Packers bought a rugby team and I started rooting for that team out of support for GB, which I guess makes some sense
Sorry for not dropping that stack, lastcup. It's so much fun playing with those guys because three of them play exclusively three, four, and five position, which lets me work on my two weakest roles.
I randomed Necrophos. Decided to go offlane brown boots into radiance into AGHS since that's the new pro meta. Holy fuck that's OP. 24 sec CD on Ult, and just being alive ticks enemies down into range. Then they had a lot of physical damage so I went blademail, Shivas, Lotus and couldn't be killed. Also Lotus is ridiculously OP, but 1% of people buy it at our MMR. The armor and the active?? Making Bs rupture himself?? Amazing. Necrophos is so OP rn. You can literally play him at all 5 positions and have strong impact.
In my skill bracket, two of your teammates can leave and it's actually a good thing because it turns your five-core team into a three-core team and it enables you to farm. https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3475651065 We won 3v5 after the AM abandoned because he was sharing a lane with Axe. And that Axe tried to steal my Veil. Fuck him.
Since Grandgrant has been averaging 5-10K viewers per stream he got picked up by EG. Good for that moron, can stop working at Walmart now
Got blamed for the loss of my lunch time dota game today by my “roaming Mirana” who went 3-19... because I was “KS’ing” with my ult during team fights... and taking all the “frags”... and flamed me for buying a Midas. Because Dota.
Brick and I had the pleasure of playing with a mid kunkka (gg -25) who eloquated "We lost because you are noob."
btw I continue to be floored at the number of people that think they can build a mid melee hero with no health or armor and they'll still be able to right click enemies.
really did not enjoy the Drow+NP party i played against last night (w/ miles). even if i could get away from the Drow's ice arrows, the NP would teleport in behind and kill me under tower.
I need to start keeping track of the number of smurfs I encounter. It's about 1 every 3 games now. https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3479520453 Puck player was a level 35 account averaging 600 gpm with more triple kills than camps stacked
Wish there was a rule that if someone on your team abandons in the first 10 minutes, the match is not scored.
I got flamed last week in a game by a BH that ended up dying 15 times and a clinkz that died 9 times I think. I played kinda shitty on shaker and died maybe 5 times, but needless to say, I got triggered.
Should watch the ones where they're playing the bomb diffusal game if you haven't. Fucking hysterical
I've been dumb going treads on slardar all this time. Just tried playing with tranqs and when sprinting you're at max move speed. Basically a permanent haste rune. Able to get so much more done around the map.
tranqs are awesome if you have other heroes to right click and lock down and you are just there to initiate and blink/force. Otherwise treads and attack speed give so much benefit to slardar.
Yeah we were playing against a Riki, Spec, Pugna, and LC so I knew from the get go I was just going to have to go full utility with Blink/Force/Euls. (Ended up selling the euls late once LC got BKB to make room for an AC) Plus I pretty exclusively play slar as a roamer anyway, so I'm always in positions where teammates can follow up.
Picking lich to play in a dual offlane should be grounds for account termination tbh Should have just sacked our safelane and aggro trilane-d theirs
When he randomed necro and they second picked Lich then got 5 lane kills for necro the game was over. We needed skiedfrillet to eat an abandon for us to save us the next 25 minutes
I also don't think a Drow should lose his lane as badly as he did. Not surprising that they were a 5 stack too.
miles or RonBurgundy were talking about this the other day. I can’t remember a more aggressive, run-at-you meta before. Every game is pushing waves early, diving towers, and hyper aggression.
Newest favorite item for me: HotD. Buy it on Viper and grab an extra catapult/ranged creep and suddenly you double your pushing power and early tower advantage. Buy it on a utility hero and it adds a massive hp regen and attack aura, and adds to team push. Buy it on Lich and you can the aura, extra push, and you eat the creep when you need mana in a pinch. Such a good item.
Play well, get farmed, strong chance of winning. Even if you do your job as support you are still at the mercy of your retarded yet farmed carry.
just brought the fucking thunder with veno offlane mirana/pudge/sven was too aggressive, and i'm just too good early failed ganks by them which led to me getting kills had me all
Exhibit A yesterday: https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3481628885 My bloodseeker dies 6 times from the 28 minute mark to the 42 minute mark because he continually runs out alone in places where we have no vision. We never get the opportunity to push as 5 because someone is always dead for about 15 minutes straight, and we just slowly bleed towers despite winning teamfights until we lose.
