Theyve done 2 episode a week for 2 weeks in a row. I hope they dont think this is a failure and are just burning though eps to get it over with
From my understanding, they are going to do two episodes a week until August. Then they are going on hiatus. I know they currently have five live tour dates setup.
Saw some chatter about that. I get wanting to do something else after all this time, but it would be a bummer if they had personal falling out.
Curious what you mean by "Hollywood got to Desus"? I strongly disagree that Desus won't be successful. I could see him writing for a bunch of shows. Mero on the other hand has four kids and a wife. I don't see him making moves anytime soon.
Usually that means you get an inflated ego, stray away from your roots/what made you successful ect. Or drugs
Judging by what I've seen on the subreddit. A lot of folks think Desus has too many famous friends (Anna Kendrick) and has been busy taking European vacations (The Iceland trip with Taylor Rook and Jack Dorsey). I don't think that is necessarily being too Hollywood. But just evolving as you get older.
Desus has always had more mainstream appeal. He’s the straight guy. He’s got a few things going on and seems to have put the brand on the back burner a bit. (Kimmel, Kendrick, no pod for a year, etc.) They were up and comers for a few years and stalled out some. Gotta strike while the iron’s hot. I just think they are the dictionary definition of the “sum of its parts” idiom.
No, that’s why I said “seems”. One guy is out doing things; the other dude still types in caps on Twitter. I have no idea what really happened.
I feel ya. I just think both of them being in two different phases of their lives played a significant role in this decision to end the series.
