Mystery/whodunnit series currently on Hulu. 4 of 10 eps out already and its very much Knives Out meets Death on The Nile with a touch of Oceans 11. Nothing groundbreaking but its entertaining and I'm a sucker for this genre. Plus Mandy Patinkin is a treasure.
Is anyone still watching? I feel like this shouldve been like 6 episodes vs 10. Still enjoying it but lot of filler in episodes 5-7
I thought last episode was the finale, so I was surprised when I saw the end and learned there were 2 more. I’m still entertained, but I don’t love this genre in general.
Have been watching and haven't yet finished it off but Spoiler my level of enjoyment plummeted upon accepting that "Victor Sanz" was going to be a "the cia couldn't touch him" and "he hacked the boat!" type of villain...
Seems like it, yes. Though I don't think it's officially renewed, yet. It will be interesting to see the numbers. I didn't hate it. I liked the setting and world of characters they created. And the premise and backstory kept me invested enough to see it through. It just felt like it jumped from clever to ridiculous down the stretch and they went with some clichéd twists and "gotcha" gymnastics to wrap it up that, quite frankly, made it less interesting. I enjoyed the first half and my wife enjoyed it overall, so I'd probably at least tune in to see what the next story arc looks like, but I won't be sitting in eager anticipation and I'll be quick to bail if it doesn't start strong.
I didn't hate it. I was entertained at times and generally liked the plot progression and many of the characters through episode 7/8. I think the Victor Sams reveal was a bridge too far and made a lot of other things not make much sense. Episode 10 in particular was just way overboard. It felt like a completely unnecessary epilogue beyond the reveal.
entire show seemed built on boosting the lead actress' profile. Looks like mom is/was a scientologist who has been hellbent on making her daughter big in hollywood. (wikipedia says quaker, skeptical hippo). not formally trained, a plot line that trailed off, and just a lot of cringeworthy moments. sucks because start of show had tons of potential....but everything centered on the main chick rather than entire plot.
