If you had 5k+/- in expenses every month that were fully reimbursed by your company what card(s) would you recommend?
If it's not travel or restaurants, use a 2% cash back card like citi double cash or capital one spark. Maybe chase freedom unlimited if you have sapphire preferred.
I must be retarded, but I'm trying to send a referral to someone for the Sapphire and can't figure out how to do that. Someone help me out?
If you have twitter or Facebook, post to there using the site and copy and paste the link to your friend. Sending an email takes like a week
Amex travel doesn't always have the best rates - same with the Chase UR booking site. Ultimately, you'll want to look at the transfer partners to decide what works best for you. If you rent cars, Chase has better insurance coverage (i.e. Primary Coverage) & not to mention, dining is also 3x UR with the Chase Reserve.
Contact Chase and see if they'll convert your existing account to a no-annual fee card. The Chase Sapphire (not Chase Sapphire Preferred) is what you'd be looking to end up with
I'd say it's ok - it's the nature of the game - sometimes, there's something good around the corner that you may have missed, on the other hand, you may get a bonus that's killed the minute you receive it.
Chase reserve will be $450 fee though, gold amex is $175 fee. I agree reserve will be a better overall card and I plan on getting it, but some people may not want to spend the extra annual fee and I think amex gold is one of the best point gathering cards.
I didn't see if it was determined if it was an amex platinum or citi prestige style credit though. Pretty big difference on usage, especially if Chase doesn't let you loophole by buying gift cards like amex. I would have a hard time spending $300 on incidentals.
I thought I saw that it was just general "travel" expenditures be it airfare, hotel, incidentals, etc. $300 is a fuck ton for incidentals unless you're traveling constantly.
If true thats amazing. I get around the amex platinum fee by having to buy gift cards, but would have zero problem spending the $300 if it was all travel expenses. It's even better if its $300 per calendar year so you'd actually get $600 in the first year. I'm even more excited for the card now. May sign up for one regular and one business if possible.
Yea, it's basically a $150 annual fee if that's the case. Well worth it for the 3x on dining out and travel. Hopefully I can use the TSA Precheck/Global Entry fee credit for my gf since mine isn't up for a few more years.
Great opportunity Pay Your Rent with a Credit Card for No Fee Through the End of the Year - https://t.co/6f5yud47g7 https://t.co/MIkJTqIwza
Great way to hit minimum spend - you can always mail a check to yourself or your wife/girlfriend/family.
my place just charges a transaction fee I just started to pay 3 months at a time and take the small fee
Mine does as well, unfortunately it's 3% so it isn't worth it. Wondering if there is anything else out there to get around that.
If you can take a hit, Plastiq can do it for you. IIRC, they have some bonus rates now and then bringing down the processing fees to 2% instead of the usual 3%
Chase sapphire reserve looking mighty attractive. I'm on mobile, but alot of good news was released/leaked today. http://frequentmiler.boardingarea.c...-key-findings-re-524-travel-credits-and-more/
Looks like everything we already knew but it is nice they confirmed it's a calendar year bonus so two of them in the next 4 months.
Card pays you back in the first year if you are smart. I Wonder if I can get refund for global entry for a friends application, since I already have it myself. Split the discount imo.
4 months in you'll have 104k+ points and 600 dollars in travel at least. So 2100+ in portal travel dollars. Their travel partners often have great deals on miles too. I've got a ton of sapphire/freedom points to transfer over for the multiplier too
Hoping that'll be the case so I can get it for my gf. I got the CSP back in February. I don't have any 5/24 issues but is that going to complicate me getting the 100k bonus since I already got the 50k this calendar year?
