Anyone here who follows SC HS FB -- Anyone know what happened in the Saluda-Gilbert football game Friday night? Saluda wins most of their games the past few years. Friday night I never saw a final score get posted. Turns out the game was called with 10 minutes left with Gilbert leading because hell broke loose in some way. Saluda fans still crying Tuesday on Facebook
I don't know anything about it, but when I saw Gilbert my bet is they started something. I put it up there with Allendale-Fairfax, Bamburg and Orangeburg as the worst places in the state. Oh yeah, I forgot Pickens and Six-Mile, too.
Found this from Google - idk how he can say it wasn’t chippy between players but both teams decided to call the game because of so many personal fouls “The game came to a close after a number of penalties were called on Saluda. "It wasn't chippy between the players, there was no altercations amongst players, it was just a lot of stuff happened on the other sideline," Saluda coach Stewart Young said. "A bunch of personal fouls back-to-back-to-back. I don't really know. It got out of hand. Both teams decided it was time to go home."”
https://www.greenvilleonline.com/st...e-existing-864-numbers-to-remain/71751868007/ All existing customers will retain their 864 area code, said PSC spokesman Rob Bockman. knowing this, any 821 area coders are new to the state or young. either way not to be trusted.
Anytime I see something not the main 3, I just assume it's from another state. I knew the news ones were out there but with all the transplants here I never put 2 and 2 together
My area code in Saluda was 803 when I was little, before 864 came out. Our address was Route 4 Box 390 before street names came out. /old

The Congaree River in South Carolina weaves through Congaree National Park toward the sun on the horizon.
My wife went once and it was "too hot." Now she has no interest in ever going again but I still haven't.
i went pre-covid and it was really cool. nowadays it’s a lottery system and we’ve struck out the the last few years. i’d love to take my 3 year old. probably a good thing tbh… congaree isn’t set up to handle a bunch of car traffic. definitely worth checking out though
Could never get a good read on Curtis Loftis. He came to the University and spoke a couple times while I was in school. Seemed like a nice enough guy, but he has some Lindsey Graham tendencies.
Yeah that doesnt sound shady at all. Gotta love Foghorn Leghorn saying we shouldnt use it quickly. Probably just to launder it to PACs and themselves.
"Loftis said that 15 to 18 staff in his office have been working “thousands” of uncompensated hours sifting through the state’s financial records on evenings, weekends and the Saturday before Easter trying to determine to whom the money belongs."
