Hello Friends, I feel like this board has had a slight (very slight?) uptick in activity recently so I would like to propose starting up the book club again. Please respond to the poll and let me know any ideas you have that can improve upon what we've done in the past, or any books you think would be good. I noticed Justin Cronin had a new book coming out called The Ferryman which made me think of kicking this back off. -The Blackfish
I’d be in. I’mrrading more books right now yhan I’ll be able to in March-June, but will have enough time to participate if we start this up again
The book club always looses steam when CFB starts up for obvious reasons. Now is a good time to start.
February or March is fine with me. Just need a book. Any recommendations? Dukes NCHusker laxjoe CBH Upton^2 Tangman Truman Kevintensity Gallant Knight Doug Cabs
We can even start anytime in February once we agree on a book and just go until the end of March to give people time to jump on board.
I'm just getting back into the book club board so I'm not sure how many of these have been read by the majority of the board, and I'm sure some are not good book club books but here is my to read list from goodreads: edit: see below with goodreads links
Two books on my to read list that could be good: Stay True by Hua Hsu Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver
Demon Copperhead and City of Thieves look pretty good. Although GOT makes me weary of anything by Bennioff. My suggestions - Terraformers by Annalee Newitz The Wolf by Leo Carew

Tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow is y next book after I finish the red sparrow series, so that would be my vote. But I’m up for anything. Like the idea of starting now or soon and Just going through the end of March
Those are great suggestions by Dukes I’ve actually read all of them lol. All are 9s and 10s imo. FWIW - The only one that I don’t think would be a good book club book is The Island. It’s a great book, but I don’t think it really would invoke much discussion. It’s just a great action/thriller
Sorry busy weekend and traveling tomorrow so it’ll probably be Tuesday before I can get a poll up. Feel free to do it if you want or we can give it another day if anyone else wants to throw out a rec.
Always torn on some of these book club recs between books I’ve already read and enjoyed and think others will too and voting for ones I want to try myself.
Same. I tried to pick a suggestion from everyone and realized Ive read 3 of them lol. All 3 are good though.
Was it decided if The Measure was our book until the end of March? I got a few nominations for next month and didn't know if we'd do a new one in March or April.
Everyone put one or two nominations in here and I will start a new thread. Fusiontegra Dukes 20/20/20/20 NCHusker Dillingham jkun laxjoe CBH

Do we have recommendations. I’ll throw out A Man Called Ove as I just started it but I think a lot have already read it.
