My healthcare provider, Oregon Medical Group, was purchased a year or so about by United Healthcare. One of the first things that UH did was force doctors to sign non competes up to a year in the Eugene area… then a year later they slashed their pay. So a ton of doctors left the Eugene and about 15,000 people in Eugene lost their primary care providers, including myself. Now presumably those doctors can come back in and join Oregon Medical Groups competitors ranks, bringing more providers back online. Healthcare has been a shit show here the past year or so.
