Why did Moss shift gears to entrapping Gene? I get that he took the money but he still helped them catch Barry. edit: I guess they think Gene was working with Barry and the Chechens to have Janice killed to stop her investigation.
Also, I was reading a summary of all the episodes on Wikipedia and noticed viewership fell off a cliff starting in season 3 (like 80% of the audience lost). Then I realized that HBOMax came out between seasons 2 and 3, which made it make a lot more sense as they all switched over to streaming. Carry on.
Yeah she seems to be having worse and worse auditory and visual hallucinations due to guilt ridden ptsd from killing the biker. She’s also trying to cover these up by pounding booze so she was likely blacked out in last week’s episode. I think that’s another attempt from Hader to show how big a piece of shit sociopath Barry because he’s not affected at all (outside of his narcissism wanting to be seen as a good person) about killing countless people where as sally is being wrecked to pieces about the biker’s death
Really glad they didn't kill Hank in the pilot episode like they originally planned. He's probably the most entertaining part of the whole series.
The name of the finale is “Wow”. Really looking forward to it. No idea what to expect and not gonna try to guess.
Eh…. She isn’t a sociopathic killer, but she has some malignant narcissism tendencies when she has any little bit of power/influence.
I get that she isn’t a piece of shit when compared to those in the show that kill people, but otherwise she’s got a lot of issues (many of which may be trauma caused) that tend towards being a piece of shit, which is evident by how she treats others.
Right, they show that with her mother. She’s just the only character I can think of that isn’t just bad outright.
Sally was really bad when she got an ounce of fame and power. She was terrible to everyone she worked with. I loved that episode. Can't wait for the finale. Then I'll go back and watch ronny/lily and laugh until I cry. It's funny that every episode he directed after S1 has always been lowercase in title. The finale however is "Wow". Can't wait.
Yeah once it’s over I’m doing a full rewatch. There’s so much good humor I know I missed. It’s so quick. When talking to the police chief this season “I’ve had some disturbing cases like this before that I can’t talk about.” “Is it because they’re classified?” “No it’s because they’re disturbing and I don’t like to talk about them.”
Just watched Sunday’s episode. I say my body is ready but I’m not completely sure because the next one is going to be glorious.
I hope Sally’s psychotic break isn’t foreshadowing a repo man like ending where Barry is just playing this all out in his mind
The Raven henchmen coming up with ideas so the barista and her daughter don’t have to see or hear any more killings was amazing. “Not if it’s a Fast and Furious movie”
that was an incredibly unsatisfying season and ending as a whole show didn’t remotely resemble what it was in the first two seasons Hank deserved a much better outcome
Also sally following up her son’s “I love you” with asking if her high school play was okay was the perfect encapsulation of her as a character. I was nervous about how they’d wrap this up but it gave efficient closure to most every character
idk based on the explicit ethos of the episode espoused by fuches hank got the exact outcome he deserved
I did it care for the finale outside of the last five minutes. I respect that it took big swings but I think it largely missed.
I can't recall many time jumps that have worked and as soon as they did it in this show I was worried. I didn't hate it but it definitely didn't love it.
I see I’m in the minority on here, but I really liked it. Also thought it was kind of perfect that the finale which shows how Hollywood likes to glorify the military as heroes in stories which deviate from what really happen aired on the eve of Memorial Day.
Btw movie Barry is Jim Cummings who wrote directed a starred in a very funny film called Thunder Road
I can picture in my mind Hader giggling as he decides to pin everything on Winkler. Should have seen that coming.
