How did you guys deal with the trick plays that are completely unneeded? I've followed Gus since he was the OC in Tulsa, so it's not like I didn't know this happens. But it doesn't make it any easier to suffer through.
The man is consistent in his bullshit. Offense only really works with a dominant running game, expect the RB1 to eventually wear down and get injured. Win a couple games you shouldn’t, underperform/lose a bunch you shouldn’t. rinse and repeat for 7 seasons
He was born to coach a G5 offense. The trick plays all worked and were a constant source of delight when we had him.
He does this every year and honestly the years Auburn was good under him he didn’t do this and just owned it. But that was also before he abandoned what made him good and tried to field offenses with more of a traditional pocket pass approach
