Needs its own thread even though posted elsewhere Alabama fires baseball coach Brad Bohannon amid betting probe https://www.espn.com/college-baseba...seball-coach-brad-bohannon-amid-betting-probe
What’s the actual theory here? Looking at the score, they only lost by 2 on Friday night when playing in Baton Rouge.
between the gambling infractions, Henry Ruggs, and a quarter of the basketball team's crimes, I think it's safe to say we need a complete and total shutdown of their athletic department until we can get to the bottom of this.
if you asked me to guess what the alabama baseball coach looked like it would have been pretty much this exact photo
Bama's coach pulled the starting pitcher like 30 minutes before the game and Vegas didn't have enough time to change their lines. The bettor in Ohio got tipped off about the pitching change. This is from a group text. I don't know anything else
He hasn’t been arrested for anything; I don’t understand why he’d be suspended (let alone fired) by the AD.
Former Football players and now the whole baseball team. Seems like a gambling problem is running rampant amongst the program.
Greg Byrne deserves to be fired for so many things at this point. What an embarrassment his department is But at least all those out of state students got Bama into the top 125 of the US World News rankings. Oh wait
This is an odd place to bring down Alabama. Ever since Great American Ballpark opened in 2003, they have had a restaurant in left field called The Machine Room that has a 1970’s Reds theme. The seats are terrible and it’s always struggled, so they licensed it to a local place Buffalo Wings & Rings, which is a Buffalo Wild Wings knock off. It still struggled, so they allowed BWR to put a sports book there, with 15 betting kiosks.
Casinos here are required to report any cash transaction above $10k, but no idea if that is what triggered this.
Article says 2 large bets on LSU by the same person we’re made at great American Ballpark. Enough to set off alarms
If Bohannon’s firing is tied to the gambling issue, then he has to be more involved than just making a late scratch pitching change. Either he made the change and tipped someone off to it to place a bet or the bet was placed for/by him by proxy. He has to be tied to the bet more than just making the late pitching change. Only thing that makes sense to me. But nothing has been said that the gambling issue has anything to do with why he was fired.
Bunch of law schools opted out of the rankings And Bama devised this whole enrollment management approach to rise up the rankings and I think they actually dropped significantly
Please shut down baseball nationwide at all levels, I get so tired of people lying and acting like it’s interesting
was the investigation conducted by the same individuals who found Brandon Miller had no involvement in the woman being shot to death? will take with a large side of salt.
