As long as CM Punk isn’t trying to impersonate Vince in the bedroom then I don’t care what he does in that regard.
That actually was very interesting. Maven has a really great voice. He never had a personality and that's what killed him in the AE, but he's got a voice for podcasts.
It’s going to happen unless you cut Fatu off at the knees for no good reason. If you have a guy you think can become a star then let it happen. If Solo doesn’t like it then tough shit.
You can slow burn any of the new guys. I don't think Solo even said a word on the main roster until like after a year. Bloodline 2.0 just needs to last until Survivor Series/War Games or WM 41 at the latest.
You can slow burn Fatu until time to do Bloodline Civil War 3: Electric Boogaloo where Fatu breaks off and comes for Solo
So it looks like the K/QotR will only feature the finals of the tournament. Was hoping the 6 match card would be Semi's and Finals. I'm guessing they need to get Cody on the card so they will need to fill 3-4 more matches.
Solo’s been used fine but don’t see him as main event level on his own. However I highly doubt HHH is worried about a guy coming in that should end up better.
They have done a fantastic job of building Tama... Even in the match his offense felt like he was just a physcopath looking to hurt people vs winning a match. People keep speaking about Jacob but they have two more talents that should be part of this entire thing... nobody knows who's going to align where... Solo is cooking as the leader... just get rid of the gloves.
They announced an AEW Collision in the area for June. Was just curious at ticket prices and this claims the cheapest ticket is $167. Is this normal for them? What’s an average ticket cost for Raw/SD these days? I haven’t been to one since probably 2018 but that price still shocked me.
Floor seats for RAW/Smackdown run between $200 and $300. They also have a VIP section where you do meet and greets and get chairs or some shit for like $500-$700 You can get lower bowl tickets for like $100-150 Upper deck stuff is like $50 to $100
it would be cool if they or AEW did an event in the format of the original UFC. 8 wrestlers, have to win 3 times in one night to prevail. Could bake in a lot of story
Isn’t this exactly how it used to be? Didn’t Austin have to go to the hospital to get stitched up before coming back for his match against Jake?
I felt like the old KOTR PPV stuff was a one night tournament... Maybe my mind is playing games with me. I'm old now lol
I'd be pretty surprised if you couldn't get lower bowl tickets on the secondary market for a third of that.
1995 they did 4 first round matches, the semi finals and finals along with a kiss my foot match and some other shit. 1996 the stone cold win was the two semi finals and then the finals. Plus other stuff.
My memory it was like that or close. The way some of these guys are conditioned now, surely they could handle it
It's a shame that Trips didn't have control in the WWE Network days... You know he would've done a Network special with this type of idea. Battle of the Best or some shit...
That doesn’t sound right. Cheapest seats at the Forum here in LA for Dynamite after Double or Nothing are $42
Speaking of carny talk, imagine having ro clarify on Twitter when discussing your mother, that you are talking about your actual "shoot mom"
They normally open the priority seats first then open up more as those come close to filling. So theoretically if the tickets just went on sale then the most expensive seats would be what's available.
They’re not officially on sale until tomorrow (I think) so I’m wondering if what I saw was some kind of early access/VIP type ticket.
I know for weekly shows they do a “private” presale for certain people, like I know they do one for subscribers to the All Elite Crate subscription box. It operates like a regular presale but you get a specific code that isn’t offered up to the general public.
I think that’s what it was. I was just curious about ticket prices so I clicked past the code and just saw the tickets that were listed. It looked like only a few sections were available too so that makes sense if it’s some kind of private sale first.
if you wait till the last possible second, not only is there a decent chance the prices are slashed but I'd say it's a better than 50% chance if you bought a ticket in the 200 levels you'd be moved to a better seat at no extra cost when you get there
Yeah I was more just curious on the cost since it hasn’t been here yet. If I end up finding a cheap ticket I’d check it out just for something to do.
That's an interesting way to spin a temporary THREE MONTH deal to avoid being without a home before your five BILLION dollar deal kicks in
not like they can really afford to play hardball and jeopardize having Raw off cable for months before the big Netflix debut. Worth the smaller price tag to make sure shit doesn't get interrupted.
It’s always dumb to have a deal expire during a likely cold time of the year for your product. There’s no seasons like sports leagues but they make sure to have deals expire right when they know fans will be angriest at the cable provider.
I don't think they care too much about losing 40 mil or so when they are about to make 250 mil more a year.
Darkside on Black Saturday. Some people on the internet seem to have the idea of the territories as mom and pop businesses that should still be going strong today. They were a fucking cartel. Even Meltzer said at the end that wrestling was going national with the rise of cable. If it wasn’t Vince, it would have been someone else. Jim Barnett would be more interesting as an episode. Dude was involved in some gay sex/game fixing scandal with Kentucky football in the 60’s involving Rock Hudson. Also, they shoehorn in all the Vince scandal stuff at the end. That is a multi part episode itself.
