A Storm of Swords Discussion [Book 3]

Just finished last night. So many moments. Definitely my favorite so far.

 

Just finished up. Pretty much all my thoughts have been expressed previously.

Stannis is getting used
Jamie still a badass/fuck Cersei
Hells yeah on Joffrey choking
Littlefinger is the man (outside of want to bang Sansa)
Red Viper-motherfucker had to gloat, could of been a badass character.

Question if I remember correctly Joffrey wanted Bran killed or did I zone out for this part?

 

Yes he overheard his dad say it would probably be better if Bran was dead (rather than live like that) so he hired the guy to kill Bran.

 

Joffrey might be one of the biggest faggot characters I've ever read in a book. Genuinely hated him.

There was also mention of Joffrey wanting/getting a Valyrian dagger to match his sword

 

Book 4 is still pretty good as long as you know it runs parallel with a good hunk of Book 5. Didn't realize that until late in book 4 and up until then I was kinda pissed about the pov choices for book 4

i really liked book 4.

WTF everything seemed suspicious, but didn't expect Robb to actually die. Dam got pretty bummed about that.

fwiw, I think I was more upset when they killed Grey Wind than Robb though.

I'm just finishing up AGOT right now and it pisses me off so bad to see how fucked Robb had the Lannisters at that point.

Yep, I had to vent somewhere during this book and seeing no one I know has read this book I put it in this thread knowing everyone has read it. After, I realized I couldn't check the replies bc I didn't want to read any spoilers though. Such an amazing book looking forward to starting book 4 on Friday.

The only problem with this theory that I see, having just finished book 3 myself, is that all through the books People say how much Jon resembles Ned. Catelyn says he has more of Ned's look than any of her own children.

 

I just finished the book last night, and just read through this thread giving likes where I deemed them appropriate..

 

Lyana is Ned's sister. Hence the Stark resemblence and why he doesn't look at all like Catelyn
