Figured I'd just start a new one. All 8 openings have been filled... Atlanta - Raheem Morris Carolina - Dave Canales LA Chargers - Jim Harbaugh Las Vegas - Antonio Pierce New England - Jerod Mayo Seattle - Mike MacDonald Tennessee - Brian Callahan Washington - Dan Quinn
Every few years we get a surprise firing and feels like we're about due for one. Just not sure what team it will be.
Seems like there's some weird vibes in Tennessee and Vrabel could fit that category. I know the Titans have been rough the last couple years, but he's still generally considered a really good coach.
I wonder how many people would actually want that job. Vrabel can probably do better without having to replace Bill and all that entails. Whoever gets that job has no chance with that fan base, no matter what they're complaining about with Bill now.
Tepper being the first to fire his coach to get a head start only to find out no one wants to work for his dumbass is going to be a fun story to follow
This video + the three tweets from a former UM football beat guy are the best description of what Jim is like (and what makes him hard to deal with for anyone outside of players and coaches) that I have seen.
Word is Allen is coming back no matter what happens today. Pete Carmichael the OC is probably out though
atlanta drafted offensive skill guys in the top 10 each of the last 3 years (pitts, london, bijan). all three are good. the offense was still bad. arthur smith deserved to be fired.
Current openings: Carolina LV LAC Atlanta soon to be open: patriots, commanders … maybe Jags (doubt it), Tennessee (doubt it)
maybe Dennis Allen/Pete Carmichael too but that offense is cooked as long as they have that Carr deal on the books
I must have missed that. Keeping him for going 9-8 in the worst division in football is so, so dumb. They're just going to be the most meh team for multiple more years to come.
I would hope that the Saints players ignoring Allen’s direction and running that last TD in to run up the score would be pretty telling that they don’t respect him as a coach and it’s time to move on, but we probably aren’t that lucky and will just waste another year.
We’ll see if Allen gets canned, but not looking likely. Word is Loomis and rest of leadership doesn’t think Allen and Carr are the problem.
Dennis Allen is absolute garbage and should be fired arhur smith was a bottom 10 nfl coach of all time belichick is going to stay and get a shot with whatever qb they draft in the first
