We are hosting a party for my 40th on Saturday at our house. I got aggressive with the invite list…hopefully that we would get a decent crowd. Well now the attendee list is just shy of 70 with some other likely to come. My beer and booze tab….. I got a lot of help on the food front but also ordering a bunch of pizzas to come at 9:30/10. It is a crazy mix of people…family, friends, old coworkers, new coworkers, etc. I’m super excited for it to be here.
My wife threw me a surprise party for my 30th. We were living in Pittsburgh. The night before, I ran into a really good friend from Columbus at a Pirates game. Legitimately was like, what the fuck, you’re in Pittsburgh and didn’t even call me? He also said he could not hang out after the game because he was meeting other friends. Felt like an ass the next night when I found out that he travelled there strictly for the party, but came early to catch a game at PNC, and was there with one of my former roommates who I didn’t see at the game.
Shortlist seems to be McDermott, May, Paris, Miller; like it as long as Miller is 4th supposedly Schott is making promises that our NIL will be up there with a big hire, Borzello said it’s currently not very good
My sisters friend is throwing my sister a surprise birthday party tomorrow night. It’s not her birthday for a few weeks. I almost accidentally spoiled it today I picked up the phone to call her about it and realized it was a surprise right as she answered. That was a very awkward phone call

I have a college buddy coming that I haven’t seen in over a decade. He’s a doctor and I invited him for the helluva it. Got a message last week that he’s flying in and making a long weekend of seeing some family and friends.
At mine, we all ended up at Eat’n Park at 3:00 AM eating our way through the breakfast bar. Would kill me now.

My 16 year old son might be a slut. Another mom texted my wife that her daughter was hooking up with him in the bathroom at school. Her daughter has chlamydia. My 12 year old son overheard my wife telling me. He texted his brother “You’re so fucked. Mom says you have Columbia!” Good times. Son says there’s no symptoms and it’s been 8 months since he had sex.

I saw the Bob Marley movie tonight, 8:15 show. It opened last week. Our theater was basically empty, and the lobby was a ghost town for other shows. I don’t know how theaters stay in business.
Well, a lot of them aren’t staying in business unfortunately. But I should also point out that February is usually one of the worst months each year for new releases (if not the worst). And Dune 2 releasing next week should be a nice boost for theaters. But yeah, the movie I saw late this afternoon—Drive Away Girls—only had 3 people total (including me) and hard not to be concerned for theaters long term still, could continue to be that way for a while
