Question for Ohioans.... My wife's aunt passed away and we are considering flying out from LAX to attend services next week in Dayton. Best airport in which to land? We are willing to drive a bit to get there.
In 1997-98, we finished 1-17 in our last 18 games, 1-15 in the Big Ten. That was the last season at St. John and the second to last game was Indiana. It was a mid-week game and an ice storm hit. I moved down to courtside there were so few people there. Basketball morale seems just as high now. We’ve lost 6 of the last 7, and could easily lose the next four.
CVG and Columbus would be the two closest, but I have no experience with Cincy. I've always found Columbus to be a super easy airport to deal with and that's a little over an hour away I think
I’ve never rented a car at either, but Columbus and Cincinnati are pretty much the same drive time, 45 to an hour depending on traffic. Dayton is very easy in and out because it’s so small. If you have to connect, might as well check it out on price. It’s been a long time since I’ve flown Dayton though, 10+ years.
Agreed with herb.burdette ... definitely look at Dayton, but if that doesn't work then just take the best rate between Cincinnati and Columbus...unless you're arriving in a rush hour...then just do Columbus as Cincinnati may make you deal with some traffic to get into Ohio over the bridge.
Last time I fly Dayton, we took the kids to Disney on a charter that was a direct flight to Orlando of all parents taking their kids to Disney. That plane was jacked with excitement like Christmas morning. We parked our minivan in an open lot next to the terminal and walked right in, super easy.
Dayton airport is super easy to get in and out of. I would aim for that if it isn't too expensive. Otherwise either CVG or CMH would be fine, it just might an hour or so to get to Dayton from the airport.
I get unreasonably annoyed by the fake insider accounts that see the tweets from the coaches above and start insinuating they know what’s going on.
https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio...nitial-2024-ohio-state-depth-chart-projection I like this unless we get a transfer RT. Maybe jelani can progress as well hopefully
I could definitely see things being pretty bleak as a have-not in college football in a power conference right now.
I see Tim May asked Judkins for the origin of his name and Rabinowitz asked him if he even knew where Ohio was on the map. And I guess someone else asked him how much NIL money he was getting. Our beat is simply the best.
A lot of Day connections on this staff—Paul Rhodes, Sean Dugan, Vince Oghobaase, Matt Thurin. Seems like we already would have hired them if interested though.
coaching at a mid-level power five has to be exhausting in the NIL/transfer portal era. even if you recruit well, you don't have the resources to keep bigger programs from pillaging the roster every year
ICYMI, Dustin Fox announced earlier today that he was stepping away from work to address some health concerns--seems like maybe concussion related--and thought some of y'all would appreciate this tweet tonight (the last one, that is)
Also have to wonder what's going to happen with a program like BC if the B1G and SEC break away from the rest to create a super league or whatever you want to call it
I drove to Chicago today. Stopped in Hobart, Indiana before entering the city. I saw a truck that had two foot letters in its back window that said, Bad Bitches Only. I bet that guy is partying tonight.
