Yesterday afternoon it was 100F and it started HAILING. I thought, "YESSSS. It will be COOLER outside". I opened the glass door to my balcony and HOT, WET air rolled in. I almost broke it slamming it shut. I've never experienced 100F and hail at the same time. It sucks.
Soooo had 3 ppl backout at the last minute. We fucking leave Friday morning, now down to 7 ppl. Have to completely revamp Saturday plans. Very irritated. Does anybody have any contacts with promoters out there? Not havingvmuch luck contacting the pools directly, they all say they'll call me back but none do.
Who the fuck backs out of a trip week off? Money says they never booked flights and just waited til now to say anything.
Yea, I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happened. I've documented how much of a clusterfuck this bachelor party has been, this is just the latest in a long line of events. I'm pretty fucking livid. In the very first email, I mentioned the price it would cost, with all caps that if we go and try to be cheap asses, we probably won't have a good time. Let's stay on the strip, do a pool party, etc. My prices have been almost spot on. I also mentioned that if somebody says they're in, but then backs out at the last minute, it would fuck over EVERYONE. That is precisely what happened, and now I'm scrambling. I have no doubt it will be a blast, we'll get rowdy as fuck, and it'll be awesome. But it's been such a headache planning it. First and last bachelor party I will ever volunteer to take the lead on.
Yea, we knew that going in. I'm actually glad it's going on, not sure about the other guys. We got a couch at Tao Beach on Saturday, on the roof of the Venetian, so it worked itself out.

No. I sent him a couple of PMs around that time too, with no response. If you will PM me with info about him I will try to review local news stories from that time period. I never met him. I was giving him some leads about finding jobs and then...nothing.
Nonetheless, it IS EDC weekend. A shitload of talent walking around. 400,000 visitors just for that event.

Will have a long write up when I get home. In Dallas now. Ate at STK in the Cosmopolitan on Friday night, one of the best meals Ive had in a long time. Incredible. Cabana at Tao Beach Saturday at The Venetian was fucking wild.
We stayed at The Venetian, it was awesome. Reasonably priced, too. But like Nole said, the Cosmo is the best out there right now.
Also, the bachelor forgot to turn off the matching/pairing thing or whatever on his Ipad, so his fiance was seeing the texts all Friday...whilst setting up party favors, discussing ordering girls, etc. So that was neat.
Flamingo is one of the better hotels if you're on a budget. And the new Osheas and outside area there is cool. But I wouldn't stay there again by choice.
So that was insane. One of the wildest, most out of control weekends I can remember. Spoiler Get there Friday at like 8 AM. Got a limo from the airport, because Vegas. Get to the Venetian, and we can check into one of the rooms early so go ahead and do that to put our bags and shit down. Walked around the mall underneath the Venetian, got some breakfast and hit the tables. Lost my ass gambling. Probably lost over $500 total, and immediately lost $300. I was excited as shit because I haven't played craps in forever, just had money all over the fucking board. It was real dumb, two or three 7s cleaned me out immediately. That kinda sucked. Walk around the strip all day, casino/bar hop for a few hours. One of my friends turned $100 into $2,500 in about 20 minutes at the Roulette table in the Flamingo, it was awesome. Was throwing down $500-$1,000 on red or black, and just got hot (but he blew $3K on a stripper that night, so not much to show for it). Here's where the real fun starts: so another guy's friend from the group was in Vegas the week before, and linked up with a promoter guy that apparently is real tight with Dan Bilzerian. Hooked us up with everything--reservations, girls, you name it. It was wild. He got us reservations at STK Steakhouse in the Cosmo (http://togrp.com), it was fucking incredible. He was friends with the head chef, so we all paid just $100/person and got like an 8-course meal. Filets, seabass, porterhouse steaks, kobe beef burgers, tempura lobster. The chef came and met us and wouldn't even let us see a menu, food just kept showing up. It was un-fucking-real. And the place was just first-rate. After dinner we went back to the suite, and he randomly has two smoking hot girls show up, one of the guys had planned it beforehand to surprise us. Things got weird. Real weird. The guy who hooked us up with everything was a pretty shady guy, but he is literally a Vegas drug dealer/pimp/whatever, so I guess it comes with the territory. He hooked it up, so no real complaints. After that, he set us up with VIP at the Spearmint Rhino (you can start to sense a theme about now). Not surprisingly, best looking strippers I've ever seen, from every part of the globe. Did that until about 3 or 4, went back and had a blackout gamble session where I broke even. Here's a cool story: picked up a pretty fine black girl at the casino, brought her to the room. No sex unfortunately, but messed around for a little bit. She leaves at like 5 or 6 AM, wake up to find out the fucking bitch stole $600 from both of my friends' wallets that were asleep in the room. I got played like a motherfucker, and I highly doubt I was her first victim. Reimbursed my friends, that was a tough trip to the ATM. Slept in until like 10 or 11, then immediately went to Tao Beach, the Venetian's day pool party. Even better, the bachelor's soon-to-be brother in law races in the Nascar truck series and is loaded (named Ray Black, but goes by Jr). He chartered a plane for him and two buddies out to Vegas Saturday morning, they meet us at Tao and he picks up the entire $3,000 bill/minimum we had to spend. Tao Beach was out of control. They had a huge EDM act playing, and it was just crazy. Got the royal treatment in the Cabana, had girls just in an out, it was everything you hear about Vegas pool parties. To say it lived up to the hype would be an understatement. I brought my GoPro to Tao (literally the only time I used it), I'll post the videos when I upload them. Need to make sure everything is at least PG-13 before posting it on the internet. Nascar guy got a huge penthouse suite at the top of the Venetian, so we chilled there until dinner, kind of rested until the night. Went to a sweet sushi place, but I can't remember the name of it. It was awesome, ordered entirely too much sushi. After that we walked the strip for an hour or so until like midnight, then jus gambled the rest of the night. Lost a little over $200, so that sucked. Passed out around 2 or 3, woke up at 5:30 to catch my flight back. 10/10. Non-stop from the moment we arrived. It was expensive, no doubt, but worth it. I'm gonna need a week to recover.
