yes. if you have access to a treadmill. Im supposed to be doing 3.4 speed 10 incline. Im a pussy and i also use the excuse that i run out of time so i often dont get to 30min now. But now that i started another cut ill be on that fucking thing yet again. its probably the best way to keep your gains while cutting and general health.
People can do high intensity cardio plus lifting. 10 min intervals twice a week won’t hurt any gains or recovery. It’ll actually help both. Measure dose, measure response, adjust accordingly.
I've stopped doing higher intensity work and workouts riding a stationary bike like peleton (I know you do it a lot). I've been walking a ton (10-15k steps), maybe jumping rope, rowing and then some light circuits after lifting for 15min, but nothing crazy intense. Like burpees, box jumps, rowing for a 3-4 min cycle. I've lost 45lbs this year and down to 206. I look better than I did at 190 when I was doing a ton of peleton/heavy cardio. I've also been eating consistent calories vs trying to "chase" a calorie total based on putting in exercises into an app. Seems to have helped also
Think it's all about some moderation. I'm pretty sure Daniel Ocean goes pretty heavy on peleton, which can be heavily taxing. I've been heavily influenced by China/tiltok to buy into walking. It works and it doesn't wear you out/need massive recovery. Also helpful that I can walk and take meetings and do work on my phone. Can knock out morning BS and replies on a 30-45 min walk. Then a few post lunch/meal walks while on various cals and blowing through 12k steps easy
i just superset all my accessories and do things like barbell over unders and box step ups in between sets.
Used is definitely the way to go for kettlebells. They’re basically indestructible, so who cares if they are used? I have a 90 lb kettlebell that I bought for $75 off of Marketplace. A few specialized bells like that (make sure you identify the amount of weight that you want to use), coupled with the Rep adjustable kettlebell that hensleya recommended, are perfect.
I add in 20 second max effort air bike on finsher super sets (only 3-4 rounds) a couple times a week and while they are terrible I’ve noticed they are absolutely helping in other areas
Great way to finish. Your central nervous system will be shot and that will stimulate extra growth hormone response.
I’m at Waffle House getting proper fuel before a big upper session. Here we go, boys. Here we go now.
Side note: I’ve never dabbled in pro-hormones, but am interested in trying peptides (yes, I know they aren’t quite in the same category as test or HGH). As a stuntman in his 40s, the idea of recovering from injuries is very appealing. A lot of stunt guys swear by bpc-157 and tb-500. Any thoughts?
I haven't either, but tbqh bcp-157 has me interested. Studies are all pretty positive show no side effects. Basically magic healing potion. Just hate that you have to pin it. Can take it orally but you lose a lot in the digestive track. I kinda wanna do a mk667 run for 20 wks
I did BPC-157 when I thought my shoulder pain was a muscular issue. I was one of the very unfortunate few who took it and made me pseudo-lactose intolerant. Whey fucked me UP. I’m the only one I personally know who’s had that issue, but my old coach was saying there’s some literature it’s a possibility. You’re almost assuredly fine to take it and will only have positive effects. just like anything it needs to be periodized. It’s not a year-round thing.
Do not do this. Tons of potential risk for minimal benefits. Women are the only ones who could make a use case for SARMs.
Anecdotal evidence says site injections of BPC. TB can be shot anywhere preferably in the fat. They’ll both need time to work so at minimum you’re looking at 4-6 weeks before seeing improvements. HGH, BPC, and TB and you’re a walking Wolverine
I used to purely do cardio but now I do more strength training but I still go pretty hard on my peloton. I do a 5 day split (two lower two upper and one full body) with about 40 minutes of cardio afterwards. My question was will that much cardio hurt more than help.
210 axle for both Mitch and Tom and I’m totally not mad there isn’t a live stream, awesome job growing the sport as usual by WSM
You could do 40 minutes of "zone 2" cardio a few hours before or after lifting and be fine. You can do it every day and if anything it'll improve your lifting
Agreed. No idea what One Two was talking about. The HVAC cage on top is the perfect spot for an overhead defense with a sniper
The video circulating of the 130 pound dude opening with 210 kilos on bench is so ridiculously dumb on so many levels that it seems like the whole thing was set up
Lifter, scoring table, meet director, and spotters/loaders should have said something. Unbelievable fuck up. A MASTERS lifter opening with 3.5x bodyweight would be absurd
