Holtmann is only 52, so he surely is going to coach again, but being owed $12.4 million with a daughter in junior high would make me think twice about uprooting the family.

My nephew is dating Al Golden’s youngest daughter, or at least was around Thanksgiving/Christmas. I have everything second hand, but apparently his wife just said no and refused to move from Cincinnati when he changed jobs.

 

Mildly shocked that Holtmann was fired before his buyout's presumed to be cut in half on April 1st. Doing it now kinda tells me that the back channels have moved swiftly and their guy might be close to being in the bag. Nothing is guaranteed until the ink dries, so this puts OSU in a great position to find a good/great hire. A home run. Still think the most realistic/attractive prospect is Lamont Paris. Otherwise, shooting your shot with pie-in-the-sky Jay Wright would be a solid first overture.

 

Hearing Paris is a big Michigan fan. Not sure if that changes things.
