Did Little Bear last night for the first time - great experience and it's nice to leave a restaurant like that and spend less than $150
I can only imagine what 5P is like in 2023. I couldn’t even remember the name of Kramers the other day (bringing shame to my entire family)
Food Terminal on Buford Highway is tremendous. They have robots that deliver food to your table for some reason, but the food is amazing.
That’s the OG, there’s one in West Midtown and one other one now too. Some of the most flavorful food I’ve ever eaten.
You didn’t know the high country rugby Christmas bar crawl was last night? Everyone in the city was talking about it.
Noni's owner found it more affordable to operate a mexican restaurant in amsterdam the rents are asinine and those restaurants are what made that corridor popular
finally eating here this morning.. https://www.chebutterjonez.com/?utm...ness_profile&utm_campaign=5976221610086386939
Been 4-5 years since I've been to ATL. We are coming in for a long weekend in March. Was looking at using my Marriot points for a hotel, how is Bellyard? Looks solid...is West Midtown cool now? The downtown hotels (Westin and Marriott Marquis) are kinda meh and we usually avoid Buckhead. Thoughts?
Couldn’t tell you anything about the hotel itself, but the area is booming. Tons of food, drink, and entertainment options at all price points within walking distance. The only real complaint with the area is the Howell Mill bottleneck, and unfortunately there’s no real way around it. So just give yourself a little extra time if driving anywhere in the late afternoon or evening.
Haven’t eaten there yet, but the bars at Little Sparrow are awesome. Anniversary dinner at Lyla Lila next weekend
Went to Little Sparrow right after it opened and it was good but not special. I'm glad we went but don't feel the need to go again if that makes sense
Sounds about right. I liked JCT for lunch and the bar…think I may have eaten dinner there once? If I’m going Frenchish in West Midtown, I’m going to Marcel.
Thought the same about little sparrow. I also feel like all of ford fry’s places have been lacking lately. Especially service wise.
I've been to Marcel 3 times and 2 of them were really good but the last trip was really disappointing. Hoping it was a one off bad night
it feels extra mailed in superica in buckhead is an absolute disaster and Marcel has always been hit or miss for me but has missed way more recently.
Atlas was solid. Some outstanding, some okay. White Truffle add on dish for $90 was bad and not worth it. Same for the Waygu at $40. Wine was outstanding. Fine dinning service was fun That said Bacchanalia was better, it was also 1/3 the price. I knew it was gonna be bad, but fuck. Also the bar next to it Garden Room is pretty cool from a a decor standpoint
How much was Atlas? I feel like truffles always end up being not worth the price but maybe I just don't have the palette
Never had an issue with Superica in Buckhead. They are always super accommodating when I come in with my kids. Took a client to Marcel before Christmas. Thought it was very good, but the steak was just OK (Chops filet & ribeye were both better). For the price I expected more. The somm was very helpful though - put us on a delicious Cab Franc that didnt break the bank.
I was there a month ago and stayed at the AC Midtown which is on 14th St so pretty solid location to get around and has a bunch of restaurants within walking distance.
Need to try this place. Feel like with most restaurants, can take a few months or more to really hit their stride. Bar program looks great though.
