Idk how but I severely strained the abductors on my left leg. It has been a ROUGH 10 days and it doesn’t seem to be improving. For a second, thought I had appendicitis and had to go to the ER on Friday (was running a fever & throwing up).

Luckily I got some really intense compression shorts that are helping me mobile during the day.

Sleeping & Mornings are the worst. I can’t move without a sharp pain.

I’ve been researching what to do but am not finding any good material. I’ve tried myofascial work on the leg and that seems to irritate it more than give me any relief.

I hate pain medicine and it’s so bad I’m having to stay on it nonstop.

I strained my back really badly about 2 months ago with basically the situation as yourself just obviously a different muscle. I went on my insurance's website (United) and saw a telehealth thing through them for $49. I went to that because I had no idea what to do and she prescribed me a 7 day pack of steroids and I was basically 100% by day 5. She also prescribed me to some muscle relaxers which also helped a lot.

It was 24/7 and I saw someone in less than 5 minutes

If it’s an actual injury to soft tissue rest is the initial step I’d think. I would honestly go to a doc or PT to get an evaluation if you’re in this much pain. If it’s a tear of some sort you could make it worse trying to fix it yourself
