Pop trained in Air Force intelligence and considered a career in the C.I.A.. Spoiler I don’t think it has anything to do with the Spurs getting the #1 pick tonight but it is interesting. And I still believe the NBA and its draft are rigged.
I’m surprised your Texas education didn’t teach you more about your state’s history. You should probably learn more about how and why Juneteenth came into existence, you fucking simpleton (spoiler: it’s because Texas didn’t acknowledge the Emancipation Proclamation). I know your whole mantra is shit posting, but get a grip on your life and also come to the slow realization that the entirety of your state sucks and always has.
rooting for Miller to portland so I have another reason to root against them besides Nurkic and a by and large underwhelming group of posters.
Im not tho. I clearly understand the reservations about him. It’d be pretty hard to overlook it with the media swarm. I’m saying on the court, Him being good there isn’t a bama take. He’s a talent basketball player, beyond that I wouldn’t know because I don’t know Brandon Miller beyond what I see on TV. So I’m going to lean on those who are being paid to look into him and check his background, etc. If they feel it’s not an issue then who am I to say it is? I’m also saying that I don’t think nba executives really care that much. As long as he’s not going to literally be arrested for murder they don’t really care. The NBA isn’t really a place for great morals. They’ll take whatever they can to win games. If Charlotte thinks he can win games with their line up, they’ll draft him. As for what I said about Scoot and Miller it’s purely just because of their roster. Scoot is a great player but Charlotte doesn’t necessarily need someone with his skill set. We will see though, it is what it is. I’m not a hornets fan so if they suck I won’t be too upset.
Probably because it wasn’t a lie and I explained it in the rest of the post but reading isn’t your strong suit so here we are.
So anyway; what do we think Victors floor and ceiling is? How good can he realistically be? I’m not too worried about his transition to the NBA since he’s played professional euro ball but I wonder how he will handle hanging with guys like Embiid, Jokic, etc in the paint. Most of his clips he doesn’t really go through much contact. Those dudes are huge. I just wonder how he handles that type of physicality. i know he won’t live in the paint but with his size he will be there at times.
Anyone got any good mock drafts they can spoiler? I'm thinking about re-joining the Athletic again and will share that one later if so...unless someone else beats me to it ;)
Who says no to Kuminga to Detroit for the 5th pick? I'm thinking GS but it sounded like things were rough there in the playoffs with him not playing.
If GS flips Kuminga I would guess it would be for someone more ready to win now so they can try to maybe squeeze one more out while they still have Steph.
I think that's the complicating factor. I don't think GS would want the fifth pick, but I'm also not sure what it could flip Kuminga for that helps them more now. I think the argument would be the 5th pick might be more valuable in general for them to attach to someone else as part of a multi-team deal to get that piece. But I don't know how the league in general views Kuminga and if that would be true with him.
And the only reason I'm wondering if they'd trade Kuminga is that all the media seems to be reporting (based on quotes from everyone) that there's significant mutual interest in Draymond getting a new deal there. And if that happens, it becomes harder to see where Kuminga has a major role in helping them contend next year. Also, remember when they could have drafted Haliburton and Franz in back-to-back years and instead decided to add the rawest players possible to the team that plays the most complicated style in the league?
lol...already starting to see the TikTok spin of VW being out of the league in 5 years and the real winners are the teams picking at 2 & 3
