im typically team bust-up-the-vet-alliance but the Danny guy is not the brightest bulb, and idk what his wife failed to teach him about this show.
two cliffhangers in the first 5 episodes is brutal. Season's been great, I really home they don't mess it up by drawing things out for 25 episodes. good to see some pressure on the vacation alliance, vets have been coasting so bad the last several seasons
Have no idea how Grant missed that target so badly. You'd almost have to purposely miss to be that far off
Looked almost like he was trying to do something cute to try to fall harder (with a bad grasp of physics) and failed miserably. Sara stays the worst. Rooting for Darrell and Kiki or Troy and Amber to win it all
We didn't know any background going in and still enjoyed the season. I kind of like the concept of all "rookie" seasons that then mix in with the vets. We're already seeing more alliances and strategies because of it this season.
I enjoyed USA and Australia, didn't see UK or Argentina and am enjoying World. The team up of rookies and vets and then "teaming" them up by the country of the rookie has been pretty interesting from an alliance standpoint
Yeah that was the best way to prevent the usual bullshit and has made things interesting. Hoping that USA2 is a team vs team season, it's been a while
Also it was never in question, but so happy TJ is the host for World. The Australian host were terrible. They just yelled out every challenge and elimination like they were a play by play analyst
No....and it seems like his return to the hospital was not planned, so I'm guessing this surgery wasn't either.
Darrell/Kiki for me too. After that probably Jordan & Kaz, maybe even Tristan and KellyAnne. Even though she can definitely be annoying. Tristan is just a regular dude, though. Kinda refreshing. Theo if he was paired with anyone else.
of course I’m not going to post them, I’m not a dick. most people don’t enjoy spoilers including me with movies but with the challenge, I do. Not sure why.
Good episode. Spoiler You could see Bananas soul leave his body when he realized everyone knew what they had wrong and didn't tell them
Two seasons in a row bananas goes out because he doesn’t pay enough attention when putting something together. Coke on Johnny
This building up to being one of the best season in years. Don't like how they've dragged out a few of the early episodes but having multiple factions versus the normal few outliers trying to take on the large vet alliance is refreshing.
Danny was just kind of low key and corny on Challenge USA, much different this season. But dealing with Tori's constant victimhood and making everything into some deep personal affront would probably get to under most people's skin. I read that on Bananas podcast, he and Jordan discussed that they had a plan between Bananas/Jordan/Tori to push the three of them into the final and let the best team win. Others found out and that's why Danny and Sarah were targeting Jordan so much.
I listened to it and not what I heard. Jordan said he explained to iirc Sara or Emily, someone, in response to "why are you not concerned taking out your toughest competition [another Legend]?" he told Johnny on the podcast "I am focused on easiest path to the Final. Get me and kaz to the final and I feel that confident about winning once I am there". So sorta "let the best win" but Jordan was not focused on any protecting any particular team - except Tori (not Danny). Between Johnny's podcast with Wes and his podcast with Jordan he has said this, which contradicts what you read... Danny and Sara, prior to filming and without knowing the format, arranged an alliance with the Aussies Grant and Emily. That arrangement then worked out to their benefit, unwittingly, b/c the pairs format made it where they had both the Australians and their American partners not voting for them; obviously American partners were not going to self-immolate. Thus, that is why Danny targeted Jordan on Team UK. Jordan said right after the initial combine, that group of Danny-Sara-Grant-Emily, went straight to the House and started having obvious/blatant "alliance" meetings and just flying too close to the sun. Showing their cards.
Apparently Theo is a big Andrew Tate guy so I'm gonna have to revise my rankings. Please respect my decision
I listened as well and this is what I heard. They essentially wanted it to be the Americans + Jordan/Caz and then they would battle it out when the time came. I’m a little conflicted when watching. I’m 100% here for people shaking it up so it’s not a cake walk for the usual people which Danny/Sarah are providing but I completely disagree with the game play from their perspective. Getting the good players out is smart in general but the guns blazing approach they were taking didn’t make any sense and was a dumb approach given the numbers they had. I think Bananas/Jordan are right when saying they should sit back and let the others knock each other out before bothering shaking things up cause a lot of it will take care of itself anyways.
def seems like 2 things are at-issue, based off comments by cast members - Production botched some aspects of the Format - Production botched some casting for Argentina and Australia that leaves the show needing to focus on Sara/Danny/Emily and whatever Ben/Kaycee are doing (Kaycee seems lost without her big brother ppl). And the way Sara and Danny are playing the game, combined with their inexperience, is sorta exploiting the formats' flaws. I think Sara sucks. Danny is good tv just a massive idiot. Both Danny and Grant can be regulars and good tv if they ever learn the show.
Can't remember a daily challenge that looked like it should be so cool but was super fucking boring in actuality
I thought the same thing after I watched the first group go. They had to jump twice and hit a button. The one girl almost dying saved it a little bit
Kaz is beautiful, that all I got to add. Sara got screwed in that deal. How is she okay with them sending Kelly Ann an exchange for Emily.
