Top 4 WRs all out, Howie has mismanaged that position group almost as badly as he has the LB and DB room
Easily the WORST Eagles game I can remember and they've had some doozies. I'm 75% over Wentz also. Not impressed.
Well Wentz was a world class bitch. I hate Howie again and I can’t even get into the draft because he inspires zero faith. What a train wreck of an organization, I’m surprised we didn’t hire Gase.
philly people: I will have a free afternoon in Philly (staying out near Haddonfield for a NJ wedding). Any thoughts on places to eat (I'd take suggestions for all 3 meals), worthwhile tourist / museum thing I can knock out in an afternoon that is actually worth my while/
we will be doing both. probably need some food recs for nearby. but also need recs for maybe a lunch + tourist attraction or place to go in Philly that doesn't feel like a waste of time.
if you like museums the Philly Art Museum is top notch and that whole area is nice for walking around. if you don’t mind me asking where are you staying? there are a lot of little walkable pockets of shops and restaurants depending if you’re close to Kings Hwy or Haddon Ave I can give a couple recs.
I don't know exactly, wife's family booked the hotel. I just know it is near that suburb. This isn't my normal type of trip where I have full control. But feel free to let suggestions rip
If you're in Center City at all, check out the Reading Terminal Market for breakfast or lunch. I also had a pretty good lunch at the Iron Hill Brewery on Market St and if you want some good ice cream, check out Scoop DeVille on Walnut.
If you’re in center city on a Friday or Saturday Hop Sing’s laundry (speakeasy) is pretty cool for a nightcap
Skip Philly Art museum and go to Barnes Foundation instead. Much better experience if you’re into art. If you’ve never been to Philly then I have to say Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Constitution Center. Elfreth’s Alley Museum. For fun outdoors Spruce Street Harbor Park. Food recs I have too many to name. What are you looking for? High end? Sandwich shop? Some of the best new restaurants are mentioned here: https://www.visitphilly.com/articles/philadelphia/award-winning-critically-acclaimed/#hotels philly mag top 50 restaurants is a reliable list to look at: https://www.phillymag.com/foobooz/50-best-restaurants/ Angelo’s is considered one of the best pizza and cheesesteak shops in the city right now. Expect a long line. DeNic’s in the aforementioned Reading Terminal Market is a great place to grab a Roast Pork Sandwich. Other great lunch options: Dizzengoff if you love Hummus and pita. Monk’s for beer and mussels. For incredible views go to the top of the Four Seasons (very pricey but food is good). Highly recommend Huda - open for lunch and dinner (until 8) with killer sandwiches. for breakfast this is a good list: https://philly.eater.com/maps/best-breakfast-philadelphia Cafe Lift and Middle Child are great. Korshak is the new hot bagel place. I also like Honey’s Sit N Eat which isn’t listed. Honestly the great food options go on and on. bro
Mare Monte in the old Villa Rosa building is legit Italian, Haddonfield is a dry town so all the restaurants are BYOB RIP Villa and the best walk in slice pizza shop Haddonfield ever had take the Patco into the city and walk all of Independence Hall/Old City if you want the real deal SJ experience lol the newish Museum of the American Revolution is excellent, took the kids there last summer
Thanks for this. I know just asking for generic food recs is tough. You provided me enough to figure it out on my own. Thanks. appreciate everyone pitching in on what attractions to hit up. I’ll let y’all know how it goes
if I was going to co-sign one thing it would be get a roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe if you’ve never had one.
I was always a DiNic’s guy but I like John’s too. under the radar place is Lil’ Nicks on like 13th and Porter. good friend of mine makes all the sandwiches there. incredible cutlets but their pork is good too.
Made a rezy for tonight. Still weighing a friday tourist spot and breakfast/lunch spots for Friday / Saturday.
I’m a DiNic’s guy but I grew up with the grandson in Haddonfield and he always hooked me up when he took it over after college so big time bias on my end
j/k, we are really looking to flip a coin regarding angelo's, john's or woodrow's. and then to head downtown from there. will probably just head towards the independence hall and stuff and walk around? like I said, Mare Monte tonight. will probably look at pperc 's breakfast list for Saturday AM
Yep, I was going to suggest that. It’s a nice walk through Society Hill up to the landmarks around independence hall.
Probably gonna run cooper lake park twice to get 7 miles in tomorrow as I’m training for a race, unless someone has a better suggestion
