wes tegg Great to hear, we always had pure bread but last year adopted a rescue that was missing 1/2 a paw and she has been a joy. I will always adopt from now on
I thought hard about buying Piper one Monday when I was there. As soon as I got in the car without it, I knew I screwed up.
BTW, my two are almost 7 and 9 now, we hike about 4-5 miles a week. They are slowing down so had some soreness and limping this winter, I started them on Cosequin pills and it a noticeable difference. Coats look a little better too, the pills are kind of pricy, but worth it.
Not sure how I've missed this thread. Not the best picture but the only one I have on my phone of both dogs. Old guy on the right is Mack. He just turned 8. Piper is on the left. We adopted her about a year ago. Not sure how old she is or what she is but she's a sweet dog. Yes, I know my slab is cracked. No, I don't care.
When we adopted Chloe, she came with this alligator toy. She refuses to destroy it and when she gets frustrated she cuddles and talks with it.
Anytime I pick up his laser pointer, he knows what's happening right away. I'll pick it up being silent to my ears and he's already watching the room for a red dot.
Marleau, lab mix that I rescued 5 years ago. He is obsessed with the laser pointer and his vet. Crazy dog, but the best dog ever.
I can't believe I forgot to post this. From a couple weeks ago, I let Ody stay with my grandparents on the farm for a weekend while I was visiting some friends, and this is what he drug up while I was gone. He was pretty damn proud of himself.
My dog's name is Lilo. She's a German Shepherd - Shiba Inu mix. We got her when she was two years old in Bainbridge, GA. We moved up to Massachusetts last year and she got to experience her first winter at eight years old.
anyone ever experienced "cold tail or limp tail" with their dogs? I took the dogs to the park on Friday and they ran a round for a good 45 minutes....nothing out of the normal. Yesterday we took them on a hike up near mt hood. They got in the water with a couple of other dogs....again nothing unusual. This morning I go to take them outside and our labs tail is just hanging there. no wagging or movement..he also avoids sitting down because i guess he knows he cant move it. After some googling it seems like something that happens that they really dont have an answer for just strange and of course it makes me think something is more serious
The first time my parents' old beagles met my dog that happened to one of them. Vet said it was something associated with all the exercise or something he got for the first time in a long time playing with the puppy. Was back to normal in a few days
