You're the fucking manager. Scream at the players if they are pushing up too much or take Ramsey out/move him to RW. You could also put our only other b2b on the bench, just a thought. Him getting called for the foul when both he and alves lunged simultaneously for the ball was bs. Then of course alves acted like a complete cunt.
someone should really start a new thread. this one being 400 pages doesn't help the speed of the board any.
How concerned are you guys about the form of Alexis recently? I'm honestly not bringing this up solely to be a dick, but in the past few matches I've watched he has been incredibly poor for his standards. You'll obviously need him in top form down the stretch run, as all teams will need from their top players, but he had a handful of horrific passes in the final 3rd today. Aside from the great ball in to Welbeck against Leicester Ozil has not looked his best either. How Elneny didn't make the team over Flamini today boggles the mind. That is more of a managerial fuck up than poor form though, he's stood out when he's played for you guys. Continuing in a more positive vein, I think Welbeck has looked great off the bench. He will be a huge piece for you guys if he stays fit. I'd way rather face Giroud than him. A front line of Kane and Welbeck would be really formidable at Euro 2016 imo, fit Rooney or not. Their games complement each other well.
I'm also pretty certain that Per will cost you points somewhere down the stretch. He's been exposed left and right for most of the season. He's always been slow as fuck, but it seems the positional awareness that allowed him to still be serviceable is starting to slip. He gets caught out at least a few times each match. Kos deserves better.
Alexis was good in the first half today, seems like he tired and started pressing it. A main problem is him and Giroud just don't work together at all, think he'll be back to normal if we get Welbeck or Theo(fuck him) in there and he regains his fitness. Per isn't good this year but Coquelin protects him decently well. Flamini ever playing is by far the biggest problem. Then it's RW(Ox and Theo being shit), Giroud and Alexis together, Ramsey's play at times and having an Andros Townsend level shooting %, and Per. Hoping Per's display today gets Gabriel his spot back but who the fuck knows with Wenger, he's been siding with shit like Per and Flamini all year. Besides Elneny playing as much or more in Europe than any player in our side in the last few years, his style of play was perfect for this game. Putting Ramsey to RW and Elneny as a disciplined B2B after Ox got hurt would have easily been the best way to limit their attacks while also getting a foothold in midfield. We had no problem getting chances once we got through midfield. We had a manager that talked all week about being disciplined and not doing anything stupid. He puts on Theo on the right who has no discipline in that position and lets Ramsey play as a 2nd striker. It's frustrating to say the least, not sure how much faith I have in Wenger to make the right decisions down the stretch this year. /essay
Alexis will be fine. He looked good In the first half (as Gunners said). And Per is what Per is. Big and fucking slow. Nothing really new there.
Hate to say it because I don't say it with malicious intent but I hope ox is done for the season. Clearly not happening for him now.
