Can't listen to this whole thing because I'm a bit busy at work, but what the hell are they saying in this video? It's a joke, right?
I didn't think there was a chance in hell we sign Gotze anyway. happy he's staying in Germany in that sense.
Dont clubs do this to ensure top dollar if indeed he is transferred?! I cant remember what player it was that signed an extension, then took off like a year later..
Pretty much. It means he is certainly not going anywhere this summer(though I don't think anyone real expected that he would) and it gives the club the ability to maximize the fee if he does choose to look at offers, as early as 2013 I would imagine. Doubt he will ever be an Arsenal player. 1) Top German players just don't leave Germany too often, especially early in their careers. 2) Dortmund is in the process of establishing themselves as a top European club(not the Bayern, Milan, Barcelona, Real level, but close to clubs like Arsenal, Inter, Chelsea, Valencia, etc...). They have a strong foundation and are coming into a lot more revenue. No reason they can't compete for the Champions' League in the next couple years.
Well, it means they won't get the player as quickly as they would prefer.... Although, couldn't you say a German signing an extension with a German team does kind of hurt transfer potential...
Think they have him benched, would be a good time to break the Joey Barton curse but would much rather just not play against him.
uefa is a bunch of pussy fags http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/st...l-arsene-wenger-banned-3-matches-comments-ref NYON, Switzerland -- UEFA has imposed a three-match touchline ban on Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger for comments directed at the referee after his team's Champions League elimination this month. UEFA says its disciplinary panel found Wenger guilty of "improper conduct" and fined him $53,000. The French coach will serve his third UEFA ban within a year if Arsenal qualifies to play in next season's Champions League or Europa League. He can challenge the verdict at UEFA's appeals panel. Wenger criticized Slovenian referee Damir Skomina after Arsenal was ousted by AC Milan in the last-16 round, despite a 3-0 second-leg victory. The London club had lost 4-0 in Italy.
Just watched Dortmund-Stuttgart match. Unbelievable, Perisic did it again, got what looked to be an 86th minute winner as a sub.
http://www.thenational.ae/sport/football/salomon-kalou-will-not-fight-for-a-new-deal-at-chelsea I know Arsene has been interested in the past, but would we take him as a free agent?
i think we would. Wenger loves signings like this (solid player for free). i'm not sure i would want him though.
just dont see where he fits he isnt better than Gervinho, he wont play over Ox/Theo, and I would rather him not take Ryo's minutes not sure, he wouldnt hurt the squad, just dont know what he adds
All around joke. Still 5 points up but can't have any more of that shit. Worst performance in a while. Starting Ramsey is inexcusable but nobody stepped up. Van Persie continues his recent shit finishing and Vermaelen responsible for both goals.
fucking horrible. and to make it worse I had $50 in Sunderland 10-1 today and they blow a fucking 2 goal lead in like the 85th minute. horrible morning and now I'm going to AC for the night. shaping up to be a horrible day.
That was bound to happen, just a shit effort all around. RvP is definitely looking a little jaded, probably not used to playing 50+ games in a season(including internationals). Hard to keep up the level Arsenal have been playing at the last 6 weeks or so. Just can't let it fester and still looking for a hitman to take out Ramsey. I just don't get why he keeps getting starts. If everyone is healthy he is nothing more than a bench player, please stop playing him over Ox or even Gervinho(who has been total shit since Africa). The one thing we lack, even at our best, is the player that can take on defenders 1 v 1 and create on his own. On days like today when the team just didn't have good pace that really shows through. It happens, just put it out and get back to business next week. Would love to rest RvP if possible.
http://www.thenational.ae/sport/football/ajax-open-a-path-to-the-versatile-jan-vertonghen so this summer we are signing Vertonghen, M'Vila, Podolski and Giroud everyone cool with that? Spoiler duncan castle sucks
Think Rodgers fucked up. They were dominating 2nd half then after the goal they quit pressing and sat back and Tottenham took over. Pressure is back on us, we've performed well this season when it's been this way.

Are you guys going to go hard for Vertonghen? Newcastle had been linked some with him, but didn't know how serious you guys were with him
I don't see us getting vertonghen or mvila, don't see how they would fit in knowing wenger. Would welcome either wholeheartidly though.
I think we get M'Vila and Podolski, but not Vertonghen, though I would certainly take him over Per, and his versatility would be perfect as a third cb
I just can't believe we are going to sign someone of M'Vila's quality(and price) until I see it. Would just be so un-Wenger like... Would love to add a player of that kind of real quality though, would allow lots of flexibility in the midfield and in our style of play. Vertonghen would also be fantastic, need much, much better quality in our backline depth. Starting 4 look pretty set(though still error prone), nothing else makes you feel warm and fuzzy. A Podolski, Vertonghen, and M'Vila summer would have me positively tumescent in anticipation. Would be pretty close to having a legitimate title contending roster at that point, so we can safely rule it out altogether. Probably get none of them now that we are talking about it.
