I spent a good minute completely confused trying to figure out what the hell shape that was on the shoulder of a Central Michigan jersey because I couldn't get my mind around the idea of Arizona State hockey.
This is their first "real" season as a D1 sport. I believe they had a powerhouse club team for years. I think they got a huge donation (like 30+ Million) to start a team similar to what Penn State did a few years ago. They're D1 independent right now and will play D1 squads but also a few club games this year.

That's not really horrible at all. In fact, it seems they've done a nice job of accommodating for the logo being so prominent by not having a bunch of noise elsewhere on the uni.
