Don't mind us moving up if the value is right and we get a guy we believe can come in and play at a high level. Giving up next year's first is out of the question though.
I dont have my draft value board in front of me but this years and next years first for 8 to 3 is laughable. Unfortunately I think 2nd round is likely. Fuck
I love fowler and Williams but neither are worth two firsts... Even if we win the Super Bowl and they get the 32nd pick. I don't think either are going to be worth it. DL of all positions can take some time to become elite in the NFL.
I'm fine with trading up, not because I don't think we have tons of holes that these 2s or 3s could fill, I just think TD would fuck up the picks anyway if he's still calling he shots (and if we're trading up surely he is). Seems like recently we're getting mediocre to bad in the 2nd/3rd (like our shit pair of OLs sitting behind UDFA starters) than the solid picks like Peters and Willy Mo that seem like ages ago. So if Quinn knows something about the studliness of Fowler from his time with him, go get him.
If we make a play for Fowler I have to think Quinn was also involved given his past experience with him so that would help relieve some of the angst on my end, would still depend on the draft picks given up though. I just hope they don't think we are 1 or 2 players from being back to that 12 win playoff contending team... they have to recognize all the holes we have..
I would love for the Skins to move back. I really want a second but an 8th in the 3rd for 3 picks isnt bad I really want a second, bu
@AtlantaFalcons: Quinn says he’s pleased with how Lamar Holmes slimmed down in the offseason. Says it was crucial for him to do that to compete.
Us putting out rumors that we want to move up, squeezes teams that actually want to trade up, therefore hopefully dropping someone we really want to us. Fuck a reverse jinx, this ain't the Barves
McShay has Mariota graded out as the 8th best overall player. I think we're praying that the Browns go full Browns
I'm getting a lot of pushback from the Dawgs for not being in "sky is falling" mode. I truly appreciate your guys trying to replicate your private board for me.
It's all we know. Really though, I'm that it is misinformation, but I've seen TD go full retard too many times to feel confident about it.
Nah, I can see your point and I've even said I hope you're right. As a Dawg, I know to expect shit until proven otherwise. Save yourself as best you can... Goddam that's pathetic, but it works.
I'm not putting faith in Dimitroff. Refuse to take the bait. Has nothing to do with Clown Baby's whiney roommate.
Kiper has Williams #1 on his big board and calls him the surest thing in the draft. He has Fowler at #3 and Sherf at #6. Then there's a huge drop to the next group of pass rushers. I don't want to reach for a pass rusher at 8. Trade up, trade back, or take best available.
Now the rumors are we want to trade back for an OL. At least we're playing the media game right. No one has any clue what were doing
I would love to trade back if we could get an additional second rounder. The A&M kid might be a steal in the second round and who knows what is going to happen with La'El
My hope as well. I'm moving towards oline at 8 as well. I think Fowler will be gone and I don't see the value with the other guys. I don't want to make another Jamaal Anderson reach for a need kind of pick. Sherf is my guy.
My only real fear with moving down too much is that most teams only have 16 first round grades. I think that's definitely a byproduct of a weak OL and QB class.
@ProFootballTalk: Next move for Bruce Irvin could be a trade to Atlanta http://t.co/022aGTNe3U Earlier this year, a report emerged that Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett wanted to be traded to the Falcons. Another Seahawks pass-rusher ultimately could be the guy who gets shipped to Atlanta. Per a league source, chatter already has emerged regarding a possible trade that would send linebacker Bruce Irvin to the Falcons, reuniting him with coach Dan Quinn, the former defensive coordinator in Seattle. Irvin, who was born in Atlanta, was a first-round pick of the Seahawks in 2012 — the same year they added linebacker Bobby Wagner in round two and quarterback Russell Wilson in round three. With the Seahawks not planning to exercise the fifth-year option Irvin, he could be traded to a new team during the draft, and that team could then exercise the option before the May 3 deadline. Irvin had eight sacks as a rookie in 2012, and he added 6.5 in 2014.
They aren't picking up his option anyway so it shouldn't be all that bad nvm that's after '15 season.
If the top pass rushers (not Beasley) are gone I'm fine with it. I feel like this is the most interesting draft in a while, a lot of teams picks are completely up in the air - think we will see a lot of trades
Yea I think so too. I know that any time a trade is announced/rumored my heart will stop for a minute. I just have a feeling that TD is going to do something really fucking stupid. I hope I'm wrong.
Get Bruce Irvin then take the best available regardless of position. I have Scherff 3rd on my wish list behind Williams and Fowler. Gurley 4th.
