always cash out once you get ahead by a comfortable margin tip the dealer, but make sure you call them a jabroni on the way out. they don't need the ego boost
I was killing it all night. My ending run was something like this....100/100/200/300/500/500/1000. Lost each and every one. The money was already spent in my head, which basically makes it worse. My initial buy in was only 200, so I guess that makes it a little better
Yep, I got a buddy who plays like that all the time. He's gotten to the point where he'd prefer us to slap him around if necessary to get him off of a table. You gotta plan it out before you get hammered brah. Then you can drink the finest of beverages without worrying that you're about to blow 3-grand like an idiot. And probably should be ready to apologize to a buddy if that's the plan you decide on, because you'll probably be a douchebag to him when you're drunk and he doesn't give you your money.
Typically losing a big stack happens in AC where there is nothing else to do besides gamble. I'm hoping in vegas I see the forest for the trees and realize that I have $2500 in front of me that I can go drop some bottle service at a club/pool or take it to a strip club and make it rain all night.
Just booked my first trip to Vegas! I am fucking JACKED Gonna go with a couple of co-workers at the tail end of a business trip. Booked at Caesar's Palace for 2 nights... gonna get there late June 7th (driving over from CA) and fly out late June 9th. I can't wait but I am pretty sure I'm gonna be overwhelmed and be running around like a kid in a candy store. Also not sure how the group dynamic will be since I'm mid-20s and my two coworkers are in their 40s. Any Vegas veterans please feel free to give me help on meals and stuff. Not taking my girlfriend or anything so no need to impress anyone, but I always like to eat well when I travel. Since time is gonna be compressed I would love to have a few places in mind before I head out there.
Could you be more specific? Also, Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay. Go for dinner, stay for the view. Great value meal in Vegas.
I guess what I mean is that I'm not looking to drop $200 on a meal for myself, but am more than happy to pay ~50-60 for something worthwhile
It's about $75 a meal with drinks. What do I recommend in terms of food? Everything I've had is good. It's a very underrated restaurant for the price, and it's on top of Mandalay Bay. Best view of the strip you can get imo. Plus it's in a VIP area of the casino which you get access to just by having a reservation, so you'll feel like a boss.
anytime I get this in my notifications I tell people to go to Battista's sooooo Go to Battista's when you are there.
Less than two weeks until I leave for Vegas. Will be there May 22-July 17. I can no longer sleep due to the excitement.
Just a hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Buy a plate, get all you can drink wine with your meal. Entree's typically range from 15-25 I believe. http://www.battistaslasvegas.com/
Basically just enjoyed it for the wine. I mean I didn't think the food was anything special but free wine the whole time while in Vegas? Don't mind if I do. Also the old accordion man played "there is no place like Nebraska"
my group when we were recently out there didn't care about fine dining. It was 1 seafood buffet, cheap greasy stuff, and In N Out .
Going for my first time next weekend for a bachelor party. Never played craps but reading up on it and trying to play the online game posted a few pages back. Apparently everyone I'm going with is big into it so I gotta learn fast. Probably should've started sooner. Got a penthouse at the Planet Hollywood Towers for Friday and Sat night (Memorial Day weekend). We have some driver/service who schedules and provides limo, etc. for bachelor parties. Friday night we have a table booked at a club in the Bellagio called The Bank. How is it? It's $300/head, is that about average? Saturday night is up in the air, but knowing the group I'm going with, we're more than likely going to end up at a strip club. Give me the best ones. Any other advice would be much appreciated.
$300/head seems high to me - how many of you are there? Also no reason to rush into Craps - just learn as your boys play, you'll pick it up quickly. I'm not big into strip clubs, so I'd be the wrong person to ask about that. I have legitimately heard great things about the steak dinner at Treasures
I'll be there the same weekend. One of your fellow cumberland grads is going as well. We are staying at Cosmo, there from Friday-Monday. The bank is alright, 300 a head isn't a terrible price but I don't think they have anyone that big, depending on the size of the group you may be able to do it cheaper.
I would look at getting a Cabana at one of the pool clubs during the day. To me this is more fun than the clubs at night. I have cabana's booked at Rehab this weekend. $1500 minimum on Saturday and $3000 minimum on Sunday. Encore Beach Club is the other big pool party. Looked into going there on Sunday, but the minimum was $6000. Probably a lot more expensive over memorial day weekend.
Good choice, stayed there last month. Perfect location and you may not need a driver much b/c most head to the area you are already staying at(ph-cosmo) during the evening hours. There is also an ABC Liquor right outside one of the PH exits in that Miracle Mile Mall where you can buy cheaper alcohol to do a little pre gaming at night Agree with this. I personally would prefer to stay on the Strip for the Pool Clubs, top ones being Marquee Dayclub, MGM's Wet Republic, Encore Beach Club, Tao Beach, and Venus Pool Club at Caesars(not as big as the others but nice vibe) Spoiler Venus Pool Club is topless Even just hanging out at the 'regular pools' is still a fun environment
Rehab is for guidos. Go to marquee, ebc, or Tao. We are doing marquee day club twice and encore on Saturday I think.
Really? Didn't realize this. It hasn't been bad before - this will be my first time on a Sunday though.
It's a second tier pool party for sure, everything at the palms is. I really just can't stand that place.
Graduating this year? We have about 8 guys going, not a terribly large group. I think we're doing a Cabana on Saturday, not 100% though. I'll confirm and try to make that happen if it's not planned already. A couple of the guys were talking about getting a cabana Sunday, but I fly out at 3 and feel like after those 2 nights I'm gonna be pretty beat up. Also, and this is probably a shot in the dark and probably been discussed, but do you give yourself a pre-determined budget? I'm putting aside $2,500-3,000 (flights already paid for) for everything, should that be enough? I did some math and I know the meals will be expensive as shit, but I think I should be good with that amount. Obviously that can all change in the casino, hopefully in a good way.
You don't want to chip in for a cabana if you have to be at the airport by 130, most of the Pool Clubs have the crowds till around 5
oh yeah, I'm thinking ditch fridays or whatever they call it out at the palms. Rehab is the same crowd though.
All the pool parties in Vegas will have a large number of roided out dudes with hair gel. Just comes with the territory. The chicks are ridiculous though and any dude that likes to party can have a good time
I'll take your word for it. I tend to avoid Vegas clubs like the plague. Gotta be somewhere decent to get bottle service where you don't have to pay $300/head. What do I know though.
one of the biggest Vegas misconceptions I had was that you have to spend a ton of money to have a good time, but it just isn't true. I had a great time one trip with only $400 and last trip with $800 more money means more fun to an extent but it just depends on what you do
I'd love to recreate Craig James hooker incident when he was at TAMU, but I'd also like to not go to jail. I've read about downtown/Freemont here and that is suppose to be a good/cheap time. I'm going in July for a Thur/Fri/Sat. Outside of pools during the day, I know we were going to hit Freemont on either Thursday or Friday. Do bottle service one night somewhere the other. Are there bar type places that aren't lounges or super posh style shit? I've read there is some stuff like that in the miracle mile. Want to mix it up some, but really don't have much of a clue.
there's a Cabo Wabo at 1 of the Miracle Mile exits that has an outdoor deck facing the Strip and a few themed sports bar type places inside but wouldn't want to be there late night if you want to see female talent. You could always just drink at the lobby bars in the middle of the casinos if you're not going into a club, still a good atmosphere..there's something for everyone. Once the drinks start flowing you won't care, you only need to plan when you're doing bottle service either at the Pool Club or at night
