might be easier just to limit the number of years you can keep the same player to 3. so for example, this would be my 3rd and final year keeping Felix (6th round pick in 2009) and Justin Upton (14th round pick in 2009).
amendment 2 could be: if you have 2 or more players with the same ADP round, then one player would be slotted in the previous round. if you run out of previous rounds (i.e., 4 players with 1st round ADPs), then you would have to drop the appropriate number of players.
For the record, I don't have an issue keeping things the way they are. If we just have a blanket rule that keepers can only be kept for three years, I imagine people will just attempt see through 1 for 1 trades for another team's third year keeper.
they still retain their value if they're traded so they would have to go back into the draft pool regardless.
Not sure if those rounds are correct, but I think they are. Also, instead of limiting the length a keeper can be kept, I think we should decide on different consolation for keeping them longer. I just don't think you should be limited on how long you keep someone, we are in a dynasty league....
Gotcha, I based it off the list posted earlier, which I should have known wasn't valid. Are the rest correct?
For the moment, I will be keeping 1. Hanley Ramirez 2. Carl Crawford 3. Matt Kemp 4. Justin Verlander 5. Clayton Kershaw 6. Ryan Zimmerman
Andrew McCutchen (29.6): so forfeit a third-round pick? Adrian Beltre (26.8): so forfeit a third-round pick? Ben Zobrist: I drafted him in the 7th round James Shields: I drafted him in the 21st round Matt Moore: free agent Mike Napoli: free agent I want to keep Tex but not sure who to replace him with
re-read the 2nd half of page 13... i was totally kidding about the 2nd amendment, hence the giant smiley face.
Ok so the ADPs that were posted were definitely the ADPs from last year's draft, right? So if anyone is keeping a guy that is on this list, they're using the ADP listed next to them
players who were drafted last year but later claimed off of waivers or FA get slotted in the last round & not the round they were chosen in the draft, correct?
So are we not going to change how long someone can keep a player? We need to know soonish for trades and keeper selections
proposal: a player cannot be kept for more than 3 consecutive years, regardless of owner. yeah? feel free to make any changes and then we'll vote. majority wins.
in addition to Halladay, would also take a pick for someone who might want to keep Jeremy Hellickson (10th round pick for me last year).
y'all niggas blind? there's been a couple of people that want a change to the existing keeper rules. gotta get those people together and decide as a group on what exactly those changes should be. then bring the vote to the group.
everything should be finalized a week before the draft. so that would be rules, keeper selections, etc.
Currently got 5 for sure no's 4-3D just said whatever, we need his vote yes or no. oac and soulfly are both yes(p sure)
what does that even mean, I know we need a vote, i was just throwing out what the count is as of right now(or at least I think)
