we are officially on Cooper Beebe and Ben Sinnott watch these next two rounds. both of these cats will make some NFL fans very happy
The Lions filled their main need that I really cared about, which is great because now I can focus my energy on hoping the Chargers take a Michigan player with every pick.
I don't think any team really did horrible tonight except for the Broncos and especially the Falcons. lol and lmao Atlanta
The Atlanta move is the one I'm really struggling on. Penix was fun as heck to watch last season but I think he's more of a really good #2 that can do well in relief guy. Can't be depened on for a full season. Passing on a blocker or a target for Cousins to draft the guy you hope to not see by at least 2 full rounds is something special. In before this is a hot take that is quoted many times during the year.
i would light myself on fire if i were a falcons fan and was also mentally unstable. i think they've fucked up four top-10 picks in a row and i'm not even necessarily negative on pitts, london, or bijan.
The best argument for that move so far seems to be "well they don't expect to be drafting high again" Like the Falcons are strangers to picking in the Top 10.
nah, as a saints fan I can confirm this was already said (at least by saints insiders), straight after latimore got drafted. I remember being very happy with how that worked out back then
Most of you probably don't get exposed to it as much by virtue of not living in Denver but I love the talking point that Sean Payton is a QB guru and he should be blindly trusted with the Nix pick. Is Sean Payton a "QB guru" or did he luck into Drew Brees becoming a free agent at the best possible time for him and Miami being run by idiots?
He's done fair to mask some subpar QB's but I don't think he's a whisperer like Andy Reid. He's been given the folklore without fully proving it.
This draft is great supportive evidence for the "I would have drafted better" hot takers out there Just some absurd picks today
A toddler could've made a better pick than Atlanta and that toddler wouldn't have a single fucking idea what was going on
Another New Orleans front office guy that makes dumbass moves Ryan Pace was another Both seem to be con men
Seems like he did a decent job with QBs pre New Orleans and even after Brees left, the Saints were going quite well until Winston did his ACL. Easy to say for a lot of coaches but he’s been fairly consistent in improving QBs. Reid is clearly the offensive mind of his generation and QB whisperer but I’m sure a lot of people would have scoffed at that pre Mahomes even though he had done such good work with McNabb, Vick and Smith.
And Penix will be 28?? when he finally gets an opportunity. There won't be other drafts between then and now you could use a pick on someone younger? Maybe an edge this draft? It's a joke franchise.
I really hope the spin out of Atlanta that they are so good now with Cousins that they could afford a luxury pick at that spot is just covering up for a rogue owner or GM.
I didn’t realize how weak this draft class was at top until I looked the names going in the first round.
lol yea players are kept up to speed on what FA's the team is going after Reminder we learned last night a team drafted a QB a few months after paying one $200m and the one making $200m found out as they made the pick.
He was behind Broderick Jones until this past season. He had a high ankle sprain most of his only season starting. He's legit though.
I want the Chiefs to draft Patrick Paul today. He's started 44 games at Houston and feels like someone who could contribute from the get go.
