So to recap, Holloway is no good and will never be any good. Its highly unlikely than he will ever be better than he was in his freshman year under the tutelage of a coach who has a an extensive history of developing guards like Bryce Brown, Wendell Green, Mustapha Heron, and a bunch of other guys who either transferred to get out from under the tutelage of said coach, or who most people outside of the Auburn fanbase cant even name. Several of these guys who transferred may have been really good, and the head coach deserves credit for developing them, but transferred due to not getting any playing time, which totally wasnt the fault of the elite head coach
Its wild to see Bama fan's beating their chest over a kid who left because we wouldn't guarantee him a starting spot over guy who is clearly a superior guard.
It's more 30 posts of Aubs crying about it. As the premier program in the SEC it's just business as usual for us, we don't need to gloat.
I’m not crying. I would have packed his shit for him if you told me we were getting JP Peagues in his place.
“Bruce only let two guys who were a naismith defensive winner/lottery pick and a .15 ws/40 player walk over playing time! I dont understand why anyone would question his development of guards!”
I'm not sure if you saw our Final 4 run but the two guards were a big reason for it. Holloway is whining about not getting shots. He shot the most 3's by a wide margin and was 3rd on the team in FG attempted overall. He didn't make those shots so he got benched. When he got benched his mom started shopping him around. I am sure Oates will get him those same number of looks next year as a back up PG.
Mitchell was behind Jared Harper who was a soph. He made the right call to leave but it had nothing to do with development. We also had Brown and Herron on that roster we were loaded at guard.
Hey big guy you cited multiple guards from years back in your argument. You understand that right? Mitchell was a freshman when Harper was a Soph you fucking numbskull. Remind me what year that was.
Davion Mitchell's last year at Baylor 14.1 ppg, 5.5 asst pg, 1.9 steals pg, 2.7 reb pg Jared Harper's last year at AU 15.3 ppg, 5.8 asst pg, 1.2 steals pg, 2.5 reb pg You totally got me on that one. Harper also played in 40 games while Mitchell only played in 30. I know thinking is hard for you but surely you can compare these numbers.
What does any of that have to do with how a guy performed in college? You are grasping at straws now because you know you shot your mouth off with zero facts.
The only person consistently shit posting is you. All bc you can't take any criticism of Auburn and shit your pants when I questioned Auburn lacking a true scorer and guard back in January.
Comparing stats for two guys who play the same position is shit posting? It’s ok to admit when you are wrong.
PAM Aden Holloway's unfortunate parting words “I have learned in the course of my life that words spoken in anger or frustration are usually better left unspoken. I thought about that when I read the quotes from Aden Holloway after he left Auburn and committed to Alabama. He was clearly frustrated by his freshman season at Auburn. Maybe he was angry, too. But his seeming inability to look at himself in the mirror and recognize the part he played in his own disappointment is unfortunate. Holloway could have said he appreciated his year at Auburn and loved his teammates but thought it would be best for him to go elsewhere and leave it at that. Instead, he said Bruce Pearl and Auburn's coaches sold him on a dream and then didn't let him achieve it. He did not say a word about the teammates he left behind. I won't be surprised if Holloway thrives at Alabama. I expected him to get it figured out at Auburn. Now he is gone. He could have learned a lesson from former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix, who had not one bad word to say about anybody when he left for Oregon. Instead, he infuriated Auburn fans. He probably offended most of his former teammates. And what did he accomplish in doing that? Not one thing.“
Yes, the guy capping for an undrafted PG vs a lottery pick has now moved on to attempting to insult intelligence. We get it, you love Bruce and he can't do any wrong in your eyes. He can shit post his MAGA agenda and strike out on every guard since the 2016 class bc he's the best coach Auburn has had
If "Meechie" transferred to Clemson instead of Ohio St and you weren't shitting on him you wouldn't be a true fan.
All due respect best comparison for me is Trevor Etienne and I will keep those thoughts very far away from threads here.
Dumbass there have been plenty of great college players that didn’t make it in the NBA. You act like a fucking expert on all kinds of shit you know nothing about.
