The First Omen - 7.5/10 Pretty average but great performance by Myrcella Baratheon. She definitely needs to be in more stuff. Some pretty grizzly scenes. Slightly better than Immaculate. Probably the best horror movie so far this season but thats not saying much. All in all, a good week I would say
I’m just excited to see one of the last performances of fluffy Jesse Plemons on the big screen this weekend He won’t be the same once his Ozempic self starts coming out in movies
The more I learn about Garland and the reason behind making this film, the more I get the feeling that he would go on a podcast like Rogan and argue both sides of the issue to death.
Everything I've seen from him on this movie is like "wow both sides are so bad, why can't you just talk to each other"
A comedian or skit recently had a line about waiting for the "chutes and ladders" film adaptation. Uncanny.
I noticed they didn’t even take all the orange out. Funny how it was a controversy and then ppl saw the movie and realized how explicit it was
For sure. I’m guessing it was probably someone was tasked with finding footage and they just went on YouTube. I don’t think it’s some signal from Alex garland though. The internet went a bit overboard with it.
Anyways, civil war was good. I will say one thing but I’ll put it in spoilers even though it’s not that big of a deal Spoiler it’s much more about photo journalists than anything else
Agreed about the spoiler, but I think it made for an interesting lens to view the war through. I really liked how he didn't beat you over the head with a good forces vs bad forces movie, even though the movie was very clear that there were good and bad forces (accurate to our current divide).
