I’ll definitely inquire. I’m pivoting a bit from the review business. Still doing it, but I have an exciting announcement I’ll be posting very soon.
Training in a commercial gym has been wild. Pulled 565 but with bumpers the clips were at the end of the bar.
To be fair he thought he was trapped in the smith machine and had a panic attack before finishing his set.
What’s the current science say on slow/steady vs quick/powerful when doing reps? For me, I’ve noticed that when I do slow and steady chin-ups, let’s say, I can’t get through as many reps compared to when I really focus on speeding up my tempo and focusing on max power output. I’m not kipping/cheating the reps at all, just doing them more quickly. Everything I can find to read hasn’t really given me a clear answer on best practices. Thoughts?
If your goal is just pure stamina for the movement (and not hypertrophy or strength), I’d try to identify which part of the range of motion you usually fatigue first. For example, for a lot of people it’s the very bottom, and this exercise works well. You can also work on training the energy system by repping out with good form on your pull ups, and then immediately moving over to a cable pull down (with less weight than you weigh), and rep out there. Do that for several sets, with a decently sized break in between, and it should help.
The taking your shoes off to lift thing has gone too far. Whoever started this shit should be thrown in a river
thia guy in front of me has his shoes off to do overhead press. I’ve seen shoes off for squats, calf raises, stiff leg deadlift, leg press machine, overhead press and….seated rows. Its gone too far, I’m turning into the joker
I haven’t lifted in 3 weeks after fracturing my arm, have the brace on for at least another week and then some pt because my elbow mobility is nothing right now, so who knows when I’ll be able to actually lift heavy weights again. fucking sucks. I’m fairly certain every muscle in my body has atrophied in the last 3 weeks and I look like some soft bodied loser, at least that’s what my brain tells me.
He doesn’t post a lot of shirtless personal pics, and I have no idea if he’s on any sort of gear, but he’s apparently like 6’7 and has won the genetic lottery regardless
Don’t know if he’s on gear, come on now He legit goes through the bush and gives himself a huge head start over his dog and has him catch up with him. His life is insane yet I love it I love that dog
His existence is just hilarious to me. He’s some Incredible Hulk guy who lives on some land that backs up to a small highway (guessing somewhere in Florida), and he just walks around picking up heavy things while wearing khaki pants. He likely never leaves this property, unless he is going somewhere to buy mass amounts of protein. I’d hang out with this guy.
Yea he’s in Australia. Imagine just wandering through the bush and running into…that. Every animal in Australia is already the deadliest of its species then you’ve got this god damn alien/animal hybrid
